Itse taidetyöskentely on porrastettu eikä lopputulosta pysty kukaan ennakoimaan. Näin jokainen pääsee nauttimaan omasta luovuudestaan ja teoksensa arvostavasta katselusta yhdessä toisten kanssa. "fi": "<p>Isto Hiltunen nousi pinnalle vuonna 1994 platinaa myyneen albuminsa ”Isto Hiltunen” myötä. Useita instrumentteja hallitseva muusikko siirtyi mikrofonin varteen ja tuhansien keikkojen kiertue sai alkunsa.</p>\n<p>Monipuolisena esiintyjänä tunnetun Iston uraan mahtuu kymmeniä listahittejä vuodesta 1994 lähtien. Levyt ovat myyneet kultaa ja platinaa, yhteensä yli 200 000 kappaletta. Istolla on ollut urallaan yli 40 Radio TOP 20 hittiä, mm. Tammen oksat, Rinta rottingilla, Täältä ikuisuuteen, Koivukuja, Vie terveiset mun naiselleni, Saavatko he joskus toisensa, Sade, Katse, Alla kuuman auringon… ja monta muuta. Taitavana viihdyttäjänä Isto on ollut mukana monissa projekteissa, esiintynyt musiikkinäytelmissä, tuottanut äänitteitä muille, säveltänyt lukuisia kappaleita sekä itselleen että muille. Ja on välillä yllättänyt yleisön vierailemalla vaikkapa kitaristina artistiystävien keikoilla.</p>\n<p>Yleensä Iston mukana kiertää osaavista ammattimuusikoista koostuva Uusi Iloinen Orkesteri, mutta tarvittaessa esiintyminen käy myös soolona kitaransa kanssa.</p>\n<p>Liput 15€, vain ovelta, lipputuotot artisteille</p>\n",

Uhanalainen luonto voi olla ihmisille vihamielinen. Haavoittuvat ympäristöt näyttäytyvät Jessica Segallin teoksissa yhtä aikaa houkuttelevina, herkkinä ja vaarallisina. Segall tuo teoksissaan näkyväksi ihmisten luontoon kohdistuviin valtasuhteisiin liittyviä fantasioita ja ristiriitoja. Tässä nonstop-työpajassa pääset virittäytymään näyttelyn teemoihin leikkimielisesti piirtämällä ja värittämällä eläimen naaman, joka avaa ja sulkee suutaan. Voit valita kahdesta valmiista eläinpohjasta ja keskittyä vain värittämiseen, tai piirtää kokonaan uuden eläimen tai otuksen. Työpaja on avoin kaikille, ja se sopii kaikenikäisille ja -tasoisille tekijöille. Paikalla on taidehallin ohjaaja.</li>\n<li><strong>Klo 18-18:30 Taiteilijahaastattelu: Jessica Segall, Hugo-sali, 2. krs</strong>. Avajaisia järjestetään pääasiassa Kalevan Navetan tapahtumapäivien yhteydessä, jolloin talo on täynnä myös muuta monipuolista kulttuuriohjelmaa. Avajaisissa järjestetään taiteilijoiden ja kuraattoreiden haastatteluja, avoimia työpajoja ja opastuksia, joiden avulla uudesta näyttelystä saa enemmän irti.</p>\n<p><h3><strong>Saapuminen Kalevan Navettaan</strong></h3></p>\n<p>Osoite: Nyykoolinkatu 25, 60100 Seinäjoki. Rakennuksen pääovi sijaitsee Kalevan Navetan ja Itikanmäen asuintalojen välisen sisäpihan puolella. Kävellen ja pyörällä pääset Kalevan Navetalle Vaasantien kautta tai Pohjan valtatien ylittävää Lakeuden aamunkoi -siltaa pitkin.</p>\n<p>Kalevan Navetan ympärillä on noin 50 autopaikkaa asiakkaille. Ensimmäiset kaksi (2) tuntia on ilmaista automaatista saatavalla lipukkeella tai parkkisovelluksella, ja seuraavat tunnit maksavat 1 €/h. Lähin yleinen pysäköintialue sijaitsee Maakunnankadulla noin 700 metrin päässä rakennuksesta. In Segall’s works, vulnerable environments appear attractive, delicate, and dangerous all at the same time. Segall’s works reveal the fantasies and contradictions associated with power relations between humans and nature. The visually striking works in the exhibition get under your skin and resonate in your body.</p>\n<p></p>\n<h3>Program</h3>\n<p>The exhibition’s opening event is part of Kalevan Navetta’s Winter Day event.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>5-8 pm: Art Exhibition Opening Event: Oddkin (exhibition space Halli, 2nd floor).</strong> Free admission to Kunsthalle Seinäjoki’s art exhibitions.<br> <strong>5:30–7 pm: Art workshop, Itikka, 2nd floor</strong>. In this nonstop workshop, you can playfully dive into the themes of the exhibition by drawing and coloring an animal face that opens and closes its mouth. You can choose from two ready-made animal templates and focus only on coloring, or draw a completely new animal or creature. The workshop is open to everyone and is suitable for creators of all ages and skill levels. A Kunsthalle art instructor will be present.<br> <strong>6–6:30 pm: Artist interview: Jessica Segall, Hugo hall, 2nd floor</strong>. The opening events are mainly organised in conjunction with the Kalevan Navetta’s event days, when the house is also full of other cultural things to do. The opening events include interviews with artists and curators, open workshops and guided tours to help you get the most out of the new exhibition.</p>\n<h3>Arrival at Kalevan Navetta</h3>\n<p>Address: Nyykoolinkatu 25, 60100 Seinäjoki. The main door of the building is located on the side of the courtyard between Kalevan Navetta and Itikanmäki residential buildings. Kalevan Navetta can be reached on foot or by bicycle via Vaasantie or the Lakeuden aamunkoi bridge over Pohjan valtatie.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>There are about 50 parking spaces for customers around Kalevan Navetta. The first two (2) hours are free with a ticket from the vending machine or parking app, and the following hours cost €1/h. The nearest public parking is located on Maakunnankatu, approximately 700 metres from the building. On busy event days, we recommend using other means of arrival instead of a car or parking in the Maakunnankatu parking area if necessary.</p>\n"

The exhibition is open 24.1.2026—23.5.2026 in the exhibition space Halli of the Kunsthalle Seinäjoki.</p>\n<p><h3>Visually striking video works</h3></p>\n<p>Jessica Segall investigates threatened environments that can be hostile to humans. Segall’s works are sited in locations both exploited and wild. Where <em>Human Energy </em>(2023) is set in the vastness of oil fields, (<em>un)common intimacy</em> (2018) is filmed in private animal parks. The endangered ecological sites in Segall’s works are seen as attractive, fragile, dangerous and vulnerable at the same time. Her works reveal the fantasies and contradictions of human power relations with nature.</p>\n<p>Segall works with a wide range of researchers, activists and non-human actors. Her thinking is guided by an interdisciplinary theory of queer ecology. Queer ecology is a theory and discipline that examines the power structures that both oppress and categorize gender, sex and nature. In her works, Segall performs herself and collaborates with other non-human actors. The visually striking works are both tactile and affective.</p>\n<p>The title of the exhibition, <em>Oddkin</em>, refers to a concept developed by American theorist Donna Haraway. Haraway suggests that care, partnership and survival during the time of environmental crisis do not require blood or family ties. Unlikely alliances that transcend species boundaries can arise unexpectedly and are crucial for our earthly survival.</p>\n"
