Kuka kaupunkitilasta määrää ja millä ehdoilla määräyksiä voi rikkoa? Julkinen taide heijastelee yhteiskunnan arvoja, mutta osoittaa myös sen mielikuvituksen rajat.</p>\n<p>Näyttelyyn rakentuu oma kuviteltu julkinen tila, jossa jokaisen edustettuus ja osallisuus on jatkuvasti neuvoteltavissa, ja joka ei jakaudu menneisyydessä suoritetun vallanjaon mukaan. Näyttely painottaa esteettisyyttä ja kokemuksellisuutta: sellaisia muotoja ja ajatuksia, jotka voivat puolestaan muovata sitä, miltä tulevaisuutemme näyttää ja tuntuu.</p>\n<p>Näyttelyn teokset julistautuvat monumenteiksi ja toteuttavat niiden tehtävää luomalla paikkoja yhteentulemisille ja yhteisöille. Näin ne luonnollistavat, oikeuttavat ja normalisoivat kertomiaan narratiiveja, tapahtumia ja historioita, joista olemassa olevat muistomerkit eivät muistuta. Ne eivät edes esitä olevansa kiveen hakattuja totuuksia, vaan ne antavat muodon muutokselle, ehdottavat, kysyvät, vihjaavat, ohjaavat ja hakevat ilmaisutapaa sille, mitä ei ole vielä ilmaistu.</p>\n<p>Teokset tuoksuvat, höyryävät, sulavat, katoavat, rakentuvat ja muovautuvat. Ne ovat pehmeitä, eheitä ja rikkonaisia, suuria ja pieniä ja niihin voi kääriytyä. Ne ovat julkisia ja julkisuuteen tuotuja pysäytyskuvia yksityisistä elämistä, kaipuista, kohtaamisista, ohikulkemisista.</p>\n<p>Näyttelyn teokset voivat haastaa, hoivata ja toimia empaattisena linssinä, jonka läpi tarkasteltuna menneisyyden haavat saattavat parantua ja tulevaisuus näyttäytyä toiveikkaampana. Ne ovat vastarintaa ja myötäelämistä, potentiaalia, piilopaikkoja, kömpelöä inhimillisyyttä, ruumiillista läsnäoloa ja hiljaisella äänellä läheltä kerrottuja kertomuksia – sellaisia, joita kuunnellessa tuntee, kuinka kertojan hengityksen synnyttämä ilmavirta hipaisee korvalehteä ja ihon tuoksu ja lämpö kuljettavat tarinaa siinä missä sanatkin.</p>\n<p>Porin kulttuurisäädön (<strong>Anna Jensen, Eliisa Suvanto</strong> ja<strong> Sanna Ritvanen</strong>) toimintaa motivoi tukimuksellisuus, paikkasidonnaisuus ja aktivismi. Aikaisempia näyttelykohteita ovat olleet esimerkiksi Kaisaniemen kasvitieteellinen puutarha, Yyterin dyynit ja erilaiset kaupunkitilat. Vastareaktiona Suomen 100-juhlavuoden perinteistä ja yksipuolista Suomi-kuvaa toistaneelle viralliselle ohjelmalle Porin kulttuurisäätö toteutti vuonna 2017 yli sadan tekijän, kahden näyttelyn ja julkaisun<em> Totuus Suomesta –</em>suurhankkeen.Seinäjoen taidehallin Halli-näyttelytilassa avautuu 24.1.2025 Statuomania-ryhmänäyttely.</p>\n",

Whose memories are entitled to be heard and taken into account? Who is in charge of urban space and under what conditions can these regulations be breached? Public art reflects society’s values, but also shows the limits of its imagination.</p>\n<p>The exhibition constructs its own imaginary public space, in which everyone’s representation and participation is constantly and equally negotiable, and where this representation and participation is not divided according to the division of power that has been carried out in the past. The exhibition emphasizes the aesthetical and experiential: it explores forms and ideas that can in turn shape what our future looks and feels like.</p>\n<p>The works in the exhibition declare themselves as monuments and fulfill their function by creating places of encounter and community. In doing so, they naturalize, justify and normalize the narratives, events and histories they tell, which are not represented by existing monuments. They do not even pretend to be truths set in stone, but by suggesting, questioning, implying, guiding and seeking ways of expressing what has not yet been articulated the works give shape for transformations and changes. The works scent, vaporize, melt, disappear, build and mold. They are soft, solid or fragile, large and small, and can be cocooned in. They are public and exposed stills of private lives, longings, encounters, passages.</p>\n<p>The works in the exhibition can challenge, nurture and act as an empathic lens, and watching through it we may see the wounds of the past healing and the future appearing more hopeful. The artworks embody resistance and compassion, potential, hiding places, clumsy humanity, corporeal presence and stories told up close/intimately in a quiet voice – stories that, as you listen, the airflow of breath brushing against earlobe can be felt and the scent and warmth of a skin carry the story as much as the words do.</p>\n<p>Porin kulttuurisäätö (<em>Anna Jensen, Eliisa Suvanto, </em>and<em> Sanna Ritvanen</em>) is driven by research, site-specificity and activism. Previous exhibitions have taken place, for example, in Kaisaniemi Botanic Garden, Yyteri dunes, and various urban spaces. In response to the traditional and one-sided portrayal of Finland during the centennial celebration of Finland’s independence, Porin kulttuurisäätö initiated a large-scale project called <em>The Truth about Finland</em> (2017), involving over a hundred contributors, two exhibitions, and a publication.</p>\n"

Widgrén oli Suomen menestyksekkäimpiä 1860-luvulla uransa aloittaneita valokuvaajia. Hän eli poikkeuksellisen itsenäisen naisen ja yrittäjän elämän Vaasassa. Tunnetuin hänen ottamistaan kuvista on Antti Isotalon ja Antti Rannanjärven ikoninen kahlekuva vuodelta 1869.</p>\n<p>Työryhmä pysähtyy tarkastelemaan kahlekuvan takaa valottuvia maailmankuvia. Keskiössä ovat valokuvan kehitys Suomessa, naisten aktiivinen rooli varhaisessa valokuvauksessa sekä vähemmän tutkitut vallan kuvat: kuvat vangeista, maaseudun ihmisistä ja naisista. Näyttely koostuu arkisto- ja nykyvalokuvasta, esineinstallaatioista, tekstiiliteoksista, piirroksista ja videoteoksista.</p>\n<p>Näyttelyä ovat tukeneet Suomen Kulttuurirahasto, Taiteen edistämiskeskus, Svenska Kulturfonden, Otto A. "en": "<p><em>Valoon kahlitut (Chained to Light)</em> is a multidisciplinary art exhibition by the working group of <strong>Anne-Mari Ahonen</strong>, <strong>Heta Kaisto</strong>, <strong>Hanna Koikkalainen</strong>, <strong>Hanneriina Moisseinen</strong> and <strong>Anne Puumala</strong>.</p>\n<p>The exhibition has been inspired by the life and career of <strong>Julia Widgrén</strong> (1842 – 1917), Finnish pioneer in photography. Widgren, who began her career in the 1860s, was one of the most successful photographers in Finland. She lived an exceptionally independent life as a woman and entrepreneur in Vaasa. Her most well known photograph is the iconic photo of <strong>Antti Isotalo</strong> and <strong>Antti Rannanjärvi</strong> in shackles, taken in 1869.</p>\n<p>The working group examines the world views behind the photographs. The focus of the exhibition revolves around development of photography in Finland, womens’ active role in the early photography and the less studied photographs of power: photographs of prisoners, people of the countryside and women. The exhibition consists of archive photos, contemporary photography, object installations, textile works, drawings and videos.</p>\n<p>The exhibition has been supported by the Finnish Culture Foundation, Finnish Art Promotion Centre, Svenska Kulturfonden, Otto A. Hän on opiskellut Suomen Taideakatemian koulussa Ateneumissa 1968–72, on Taidemaalariliiton jäsen ja Valtion taiteilijaeläkkeellä vuodesta 2008.</p>\n<p>Mäki-Tuuri tulkitsee usein paikallista elämää maaseudulla. Häntä puhuttelevat ajankohtaiset aiheet ja ilmiöt, tällä kertaa pääsiäinen. Usein viesti on yleisinhimillinen. Maalaukset ovat värikästä kuvakerrontaa, joille on tyypillistä liioittelu ja vastakohdat.</p>\n<p>Esilläolevasta maalauksesta Mäki-Tuuri toteaa: “Nuorempana maalasin <em>krusifiksejä</em> reippaasti edestä päin kuvattuina, mutta nyttemmin olen siirtynyt taka-alalle ja maalaan niitä tarpeen vaatiessa sieltä käsin.”</p>\n",

"en": "<p>Heikki Mäki-Tuuri lives and works in Ylistaro. He studied at the The Finnish Art Academy School in Ateneum from 1968 to 1972, is a member of the Finnish Painters' Union and has been on the State Artist's Pension since 2008.</p>\n<p>Mäki-Tuuri often interprets local life in the countryside. He is inspired by current topics and phenomena, this time Easter. The message is often universal. The paintings are colorful visual narratives, characterized by exaggeration and contrasts.<br>Mäki-Tuuri says of the painting on display: “When I was younger, I painted crucifixes briskly from the front, but now I have moved to the background and paint them from there when necessary.”</p>\n"

"fi": "<p><strong>Seuraava 7–13-vuotiaiden KesäSporttis järjestetään Seinäjoella 10.-13.6.2025.</strong></p>\n<p>Kyseessä on neljän päivän liikuntaleiri ja majoitus kouluna toimii Seinäjoen lukio. Kesän leiri valikko on monipuolinen, josta löytyy monenlaista kokeiltavaa. Leiriltä löytyy <strong>lajileirit</strong> (eli leiriläinen on valitsemassaan lajissa koko leirin ajan) sekä <strong>liikuntaleirit</strong> (joissa leiriläinen pääsee kokeilemaan useaa eri lajia).</p>\n<p><strong>Lajileirien</strong> osalta tilaa on vielä cheerleading leirillä, joka pidetään Sinisellä hallilla sekä tilaa on vielä yleisurheilu leirillä.</p>\n<p><strong>Liikuntaleirivaihtoehtoja</strong> Sporttiksella on yhteensä viisi ja näillä leireillä pääsee kokeilemaan useaa eri liikuntalajia valitun teeman mukaisesti. Tarjolla olevat vaihtoehdot ovat Extreme-, Show-, Liikunta-, Palloilu ja SeikkailuSporttis</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ExtremeSporttiksella</strong> pääsee kokeilemaan haastavia ja jännittäviä liikuntalajeja! <br> <br>Lajeina mukana mm.: <br>- crossfit <br>- Duudsonit Activity Park vierailu <br>- paini</li>\n<li><strong>ShowSporttiksella</strong> liikutaan eri tanssi- ja voimistelu lajien parissa. <br> <br>Lajeina mukana mm.: <br>- joukkuevoimistelu <br>- sirkus <br>- showtanssi</li>\n<li><strong>PalloiluSporttiksella</strong> kokeillaan nimensä mukaisesti erilaisia palloilulajeja.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> Lajeina mukana mm.:</p>\n<p> - keilaus <br> - kuplafutis <br> - salibandy</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SeikkailuSporttis</strong> on elämysleiri sinulle, joka nautit ulkoilusta ja omaat seikkailumielen. Tälle leirille on tärkeää varata varusteita riittävästi, jos esim. sade yllättää. Sade ei nimittäin tätä leiriä pysäytä!</li>\n</ul>\n<p> Lajeina mukana mm.:</p>\n<p> - suppailu / wakeboarding</p>\n<p> - jousiammunta</p>\n<p> - ulkoparkour</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>LiikuntaSporttiksella</strong> kokeillaan lajeja laidasta laitaan ja pidetään hauskaa yhdessä liikkuen. <br> <br>Lajeina mukana mm.: <br>- Duudsonit Activity Park vierailu <br>- jalkapallo <br>- yleisurheilu</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Jokainen edellä mainittu teema sisältää yhteensä noin 11 erilaista liikuntalajia. Tilaisuudessa kuullaan puheenvuoro eduskunnan. 1. varapuhemies, TtT Paula Risikolta sekä Suomen Kuvanveistäjäliiton puheenjohtajan Ville Mäkikoskelan tervehdys. Aseman taiteilijoita on paikalla tilaisuudessa kertomassa teoksistaan.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Tilaisuus on kaikille avoin ja maksuton. Avajaistilaisuuden aikana kävijöitä ilahduttavat piilotetut yllätykset ja tapahtumaliput, jotka odottavat löytäjäänsä ympäri asemanseutua lähellä taideteoksia. Palkintoja on rajoitettu määrä.</strong></p>\n<p>Seinäjoen uusi rautatieasema valmistui joulukuussa 2024. Sen myötä Seinäjoelle saatiin viisi uutta julkista taideteosta. Prosessi aseman taidekokonaisuuden suunnittelusta taideteosten tilaukseen ja valmistumiseen kesti kolmisen vuotta. Teokset valmistettiin ja asennettiin vuoden 2024 aikana. Teokset ovat: perhekeskuksen aulassa sijaitseva Pia Männikön Rönsy, perhekeskuksen aukioon integroituva Arja Kärkkäisen Synnyinkivi, Seiparkin pysäköintitalon julkisivuteos, Juhana Moisanderin Asemalaituri 0, perhekeskuksen sisäpihalla sijaitseva Tiina Raitasen Odottaja ja Saapujat sekä aseman alikulkukäytävän haltuun ottava Marjukka Korhosen Kaninkolo ja maailmanpyörä. "en": "<p><strong><H1>Opening Event of the New Public Art Works in the Seinäjoki Railway Station Area on 26th April at 14-16</H1></strong></p>\n<p><strong>The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday 26.4.2025 at 14-16 at the new Railway Station Square of Seinäjoki. The event will include a speech by the 1st Vice Speaker of the Parliament, Paula Risikko, PhD, and a greeting by Ville Mäkikoskela, vice of the Finnish Sculptors’ Association. Artists are also telling more about the works in station. The event is open to all and free of charge. During the opening ceremony, visitors will be delighted by hidden surprises and event tickets waiting to be found around the station area near the works of public art. There are a limited number of prizes.</strong></p>\n<p>The new railway station in Seinäjoki was completed in December 2024, bringing five new public artworks to Seinäjoki. The process from designing the artwork for the station to commissioning and completing the artworks took three years. The works were completed and installed during 2024. The works are: <em>Pia Männikkö’s</em> Rönsy in the lobby of the Family Heath Care Centre, <em>Arja Kärkkäinen’s</em> Birthstone integrated into the Family Health Care Centre square, the façade work in the Seipark car park, <em>Juhana Moisander’s</em> Platform 0, <em>Tiina Raitanen’s</em> Waiting and Escorting in the courtyard of the Family Health Care Centre and <em>Marjukka Korhonen’s</em> Rabbit Hut and Ferris Wheel taking over the underpass of the station. "fi": "<p>Törnävän kartanon puisto on Seinäjoen kauneimpia ulkoilualueita, joka tarjoaa täydelliset puitteet vappupiknikille! 🌳 Tapahtuma sai alkunsa kaupunkilaisten toiveista, ja ensimmäinen omatoiminen vappupiknik pidettiin vappuna 2024. Suosio oli huikea, ja nyt vappuna 2025 tapahtuma palaa entistä monipuolisempana.</p>\n<p>Vappupiknikillä on tänä vuonna mukana useita paikallisia toimijoita, kuten Kakkukeidas, Aalto-yhtye, Seinäjoen Pelikeidas, PLU, Seinäjoen Maila-Jussit ja SaborLatino, jotka tarjoavat omia ohjelmapisteitä kartanon ympäristössä. Lapsille on paljon erilaista ohjelmaa. Mukana on myös vappubingo!</p>\n<p>Klo 12 nostamme lipun ja laulamme Lippulaulun.
