Kun Joulu On -joulukonserttikiertue alkaa 30.11. Helsingin Tuomikirkosta ja päättyy Tampereen Tuomiokirkkoon 22.12. Konsertit nähdään kaiken kaikkiaan kahdellatoista eri paikkakunnalla ympäri Suomen. Liput joulukonsertteihin ovat nyt myynnissä osoitteessa Lippu.fi.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>- Joulukiertueellamme on aina erityinen paikka sydämessäni. Vuosi vuodelta juuri tämä kiertue tuntuu yhä tärkeämmältä tavalta laskeutua ja hiljentyä jouluun yhdessä tyttäreni Venlan ja ilmiömäisten taiteilijoiden Jukka Perkon ja Matti Paatelman kanssa. Ihana kohdata ja jakaa tämä tunne mahtavan yleisön kanssa ympäri Suomea, Samuli Edelmann kertoo.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Samuli ja Venla Edelmann julkaisevat marraskuussa Kun joulu on -joulualbumin. Albumilla säestävät ja sielukkaista sovituksista vastaavat konserttien tapaan Jukka Perko (saksofoni) ja Matti Paatelma (piano). Albumin on tuottanut Sampo Haapaniemi. Levyllä ja joulukonserteissa tullaan kuulemaan kauneimpia ja rakastetuimpia joululauluja Samulin ja Venlan herkällä tulkinnalla. Isän ja tyttären välinen ainutlaatuinen dynamiikka saatiin kokea ensimmäisen kerran viime vuonna, kun duo nähtiin joulukonserttilavoilla yhdessä. </p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Järj. Häjy Live Oy</p>\n",

Hänet tunnetaan erityisesti suurikokoisista julkisista teoksistaan, joissa kuvanveisto yhdistyy valoon, veteen ja teknologiaan. Maasalo on myös yksi vuonna 1972 perustetun, kokeelliseen ja taiteidenväliseen ilmaisuun keskittyneen taiteilijaryhmä Dimension perustajajäsenistä.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Uransa aikana Maasalo on toteuttanut yli 80 julkista teosta eri puolille Suomea. Hänen tunnetuimpia töitään ovat Revontulet (2020) Vantaan Aviapoliksessa ja Oodi vedelle (2005) Keravalla – molemmissa valo ja liike ovat teosten keskeisiä elementtejä. Maasalon materiaalit vaihtelevat teräksestä ja lasista sähköisiin valotekniikoihin, ja hänen teoksissaan perinteinen kuvanveisto saa usein rinnalleen digitaalisen tai kineettisen ulottuvuuden. Teoksia on ollut esillä muun muassa Tasavallan presidentin kutsunäyttelyssä Kultarannassa ja maineikkaassa Bauhaus-koulussa, Saksassa.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Maasalolle on myönnetty esimerkiksi Valtion taidepalkinto (1974) ja Vaasan läänin taidepalkinto (1991).
