Kauha-Hiihto on peruttu tämän talven lisäksi vain kolme kertaa aiemmin (1989, 2014 ja 2020). Koronavuosina 2021–22 tehtiin ladut, joilla sai suorittaa omaehtoisesti Hyvän Mielen Hiihdon.
