"fi": "<p>Karikon Metsärunoretki retkeillään tänä syksynä Itäkylässä Vanhavuorella lauantaina 6.9. kello 16.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Metsärunoretki on nimensä mukaisesti retki, jolle kannattaa varautua sopivin varustein: retkijakkara, alusta tai viltti istumista varten, tarpeeksi lämmin vaatetus ja eväät. Karikkolaiset lukevat runoja ja luovat kokonaisuuteen sopivan äänimaiseman erilaisilla luonnon elementeillä. Sateen sattuessa tapahtuma perutaan. Peruuntumisesta ilmoitetaan Karikon Facebook-sivulla.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Runoja lausutaan Itäkylässä sijaitsevan Vanhavuoren huipulla. Övermarkintiellä sijaitsevalta paikoitusalueelta matkaa vuoren huipulle tulee noin 1,4 kilometriä suuntaansa. Reitti on leveää, helppokulkuista metsäautotietä. Alkumatka on tasamaata ja lopussa on noin 500 metrin nousu Vanhavuorelle. Parkkipaikalta on Metsärunot -kylttejä opastamassa perille. Vanhavuorelle kävelyyn kannattaa varata riittävästi aikaa, ja paikalle kannattaa saapua hyvissä ajoin, niin saa rauhassa laskeutua metsän rauhaan ja valita itselle sopiva paikka runojen kuuntelemiseen.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Metsärunoretki järjestetään yhteistyössä Itäkylän Saapas nähä -hankkeen kanssa. Karikon toimintaa tukee POP Pankki Lappajärvi ja Lappajärven kunta.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>PS. Tulossa on myös Metsäruno retriitti lauantaina 13.9. kello 16.00 Vesitornin/Harjunmäen/Tupsulan/Pururadan metsässä. Lisätietoja ja oma tapahtuma tulossa myöhemmin...</p>\n",

Taiteilijat edustavat eri heimoja ja kansoja sekä tulevat useilta maantieteellisiltä alueilta.</p>\n<p>TAITEILIJAT</p>\n<p>Linda Lomahaftewa, hopi- ja choctaw-sukua<br>Hänen teoksissaan yhdistyvät vertauskuvat sekä eläin- ja kasviaiheet, jotka pelkistettyinäkin viittaavat maahan ja taivaaseen.<br>Taiteilija kuului Institute of American Indian Artsin (IAIA) ensimmäiseen opiskelijaryhmään. Myöhemmin hän opetti yliopistossa yli 40 vuoden ajan.</p>\n<p>Cannupa Hanska Luger, arikara-, hidatsa-, lakota- ja mandan-sukua sekä kolmen Fort Bertholdin liittoutuneen heimon jäsen<br>Lugerin Tulevaisuuden esi-isien teknologiat – jota taiteilija itse kutsuu “alkuperäiskansojen scifiksi” – yhdistää installaatiota ja videota tarinoihin maasta sekä ihmisen ja maan välisestä suhteesta.</p>\n<p>Meryl McMaster, nêhiyaw- ja métis-heimojen jäsen sekä brittiläistä ja hollantilaista syntyperää<br>Taiteilija tutkii taiteessaan sukujuuria ja minän suhdetta maahan.</p>\n<p>Larry McNeil, tlingit- ja nisga’a-heimojen jäsen<br>McNeilin kuvat kertovat heimojen elämästä ja näyttävät, kuinka herkkää alkuperäiskansoista kertominen on. Kommentoidessaan valtavirran käsityksiä Amerikan alkuperäiskansoista taiteilija tekee sen usein humoristisesti.</p>\n<p>Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, salish- ja kootenai-kansakunnan jäsen sekä métis- ja shoshone-sukua<br>Smith kertoo tarinoita valottaakseen yhteyksiämme muihin elollisiin. Hänen taiteensa on humoristista, huolehtivaa ja lämmintä.<br>Vuonna 2023 taiteilijalla oli retrospektiivinen näyttely arvostetussa Whitney Museum of American Artissa, ja vuonna 1999 hän edusti Yhdysvaltoja Venetsian biennaalissa. Taiteellisen uransa ohella Smith toimi nykytaiteen kuraattorina ja opettajan sekä aktivistina.</p>\n<p>Alajärvellä näyttely on osa laajempaa kokonaisuutta. Jatkossa siihen kuuluvat arktisen alueen alkuperäiskansojen taiteilijaresidenssit Villa Nelimarkassa ja Väinölässä sekä online-taiteilijapaneeli, joka tarjoaa mahdollisuuden taiteilijoiden keskinäisen viestinnän ja yhteistyön edistämiseen. The artists come from several different tribes and geographic areas.</p>\n<p>In Alajärvi, this exhibition is part of a broader project with two exhibitions, artist residencies, an online artists roundtable which will be an opportunity to foster communication and collaboration amongst artists from throughout the Arctic Nations.</p>\n<p>EXHIBITION ARTISTS</p>\n<p>Linda Lomahaftewa (Hopi/Choctaw)<br>Lomahaftewa was in the first class of students at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), where she taught for over 40 years. Her artworks combine symbols, animal, and plant motifs and however abstracted are oriented to land and sky.</p>\n<p>Cannupa Hanska Luger (Three Affiliated Tribes of Fort Berthold and is Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara and Lakota)<br>Luger’s Future Ancestral Technologies which he describes as “indigenous science fiction”, utilizes installation, video and land-based narratives, interconnectedness of humans and land.</p>\n<p>Larry McNeil (Tlingit and Nisga)<br>McNeil often takes a humorous perspective on perceptions of Native Americans within the larger culture.</p>\n<p>Meryl McMaster ( Canadian artist with nêhiyaw (Plains Cree), Métis, British and Dutch ancestry)<br>McMaster explores lineage and the relationship of self to the land.</p>\n<p>Jaune Quick-to-See Smith (enrolled member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and is also of Métis and Shoshone descent)<br>Smith (whose work was the subject of a 2023 retrospective Memory Map at the Whitney Museum of American Art) utilizes storytelling to demonstrate the ways we are connected to other living beings and elements with humor, warmth, and concern.</p>\n<p>Exhibition artist support provided by Museovirasto.</p>\n"

Laitin installaatio <em>Kierrä, kierrä kehää</em> (2024) kuljettaa katsojat toiseen todellisuuteen, ja Suomenrinteen valokuvasarja <em>Hätätilanteen sää</em> (2024) piirtää tunnekartan takapihasta – paikasta, jossa muut lajit ja esi-isät ovat yhä läsnä.</p>\n<p><em>Matkustamme ajassa taakse- ja eteenpäin, maailmasta toiseen hahmoa ja muotoa muuttaen; maailma muuttuu ja olemuksemme siinä muuttuu. Kun teemme taidetta, olemme joki, jonka kanssa olemme tehneet yhteistyötä. Kun teemme yhteistyötä maan kanssa, olemme tuo maa. Muutumme muuksi eläväksi elämäksi, kiveksi, puuksi, metsäksi. "en": "<p>Jenni Laiti and Lada Suomenrinne’s joint exhibition <em>Ancestral Utopias</em> depicts the endings and beginnings of Sámi worlds, the transience of the Arctic landscape, the presence of ancestors and opens up possibilities to move through the end of the world towards new beginnings.</p>\n<p>The video work <em>Biegga bieggá</em> (2024) by Laiti and Suomenrinne deals with the end of the world through mourning. Laiti’s <em>Do things in circles</em> (2024) installation allows you to walk into the next world and Suomenrinne’s photo series<em> Emergency weather</em> (2024) creates an emotional map of the proximity of other species and ancestors in the backyard.</p>\n<p><em>We travel backwards and forwards in time, from one world to another, changing shape and changing form, the world changing and our being in it changing. When we make art, we are the river with which we have collaborated. When we collaborate with the earth, we are the earth. We change our form into other living life, stone, wood, forest. We are not just a fish, we are a fish in the river. We are not just a tree, we are a tree in the forest. "fi": "<p>Tervetuloa Paul Stevensin luontokuvauskurssille Elsa Resortiin!</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Luontokirjailija, luontokuvaaja ja biologi Paul Stevens opastaa sinut luontokuvaukseen saloihin. Kurssi pidetään suomeksi. Aikaisempaa kuvauskokemusta et tarvitse. Tälle kurssille voit lähteä mukaan oli sinulla sitten järjestelmäkamera tai puhelimen kamera. Kurssilla tutustumme Elsa Resortin lähiluontoon, hidastaen ja havainnoiden luontoa kameran linssin läpi. Opit näkemään luonnon yksityiskohtia, muotoja ja kuvioita uudella tavalla.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Samalla kun kuvaat luontoa läheltä, näkö-, kuulo-, kosketus- ja hajuaistisi aktivoituvat. Retkellä luonto voi yllättää, et koskaan tiedä, mitä kuvattavaksi tulee vastaan. Aina on jotain uutta ja ainutlaatuista, kun retkeilet hitaasti luonnossa.</p>\n<p>Järjestämme perjantaina 29.8. kaksi kurssia aamuryhmä klo 9-14 ja iltapäivän ryhmä klo 16-21. Hinta 50€ per henkilö sisältäen opastuksen, ruoan ja kahvituksen.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Kurssi alkaa noin tunnin kestävällä teoriaosuudella ja kahvituksella, tämän jälkeen siirtyminen ulos luontoon kuvaamaan. Toiminnasta vastaava Seinäjoen Elävän musiikin yhdistys Selmu ry on voittoa tavoittelematon yhdistys, jonka tavoitteena on elävöittää ja ylläpitää Etelä-Pohjanmaan kulttuuritarjontaa.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Vapaaehtoiset ovat Rytmikorjaamon selkäranka, joka kannattelee Etelä-Pohjanmaan klubiskeneä ja pitää sen monipuolisena vuodesta toiseen. Ainutkertainen tapahtuma juhlistaa näyttelijälegenda <strong>Jussi Lampin</strong> upeaa uraa ja hänen siirtymistään ansaitulle eläkkeelle – ja millä tavalla paremmin kuin naurulla, yllätyksillä ja improvisaation taidolla, jota Jussi on vuosikymmeniä vaalinut työurallaan.</p>\n<p>Illan avaa lumoava kaksikko <strong>Minttu sekä Ville</strong> – kaksi suomalaista improvisaation suurta nimeä Ville Virtanen ja Minttu Mustakallio, jotka yhdistävät herkkää näyttelijäntyötä ja hulvattomia tilanteita. Heidän showssaan syntyy taianomaisia hetkiä, joita et halua jättää väliin. Mukana showssa myös muusikko Samuli Laiho. </p>\n<p>Seinäjoen oma improvisaation iskuryhmä, eli <strong>Improaalto</strong>, ottaa sitten ohjat käsiinsä. Juulia Mäkilaine, Rami Mäkilaine, Tapani Korhonen ja itse Jussi Lampi – yhdessä muusikko Jaakko Eleniuksen kanssa – luovat yleisön antamista ideoista villin ja vangitsevan show’n, jossa nauru ja yllätys käyvät käsi kädessä.</p>\n<p>Illan kruunaa <strong>Mitä sais olla</strong> – legendaarinen ryhmä, joka palaa lavalle yli vuosikymmenen jälkeen Jussi Lampin kunniaksi!
