Se kulminoitui vuonna 2018 ilmestyneessä Awakening-albumissa, jota voidaan pitää lajityyppinsä voimaannuttavana näytteenä. Nykyinen duo muodostaa huilun ja kitarana symbioosin, jossa lyyrinen musiikki-ilmaisu synnyttää uutta ja ennen kokematonta, silloinkin, kun pohjana on aikaisemmin sävelletty teos.</p>\n<p>Kummankin muusikon ammatillinen historia on komea.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Juhani Aaltonen (s. 1935) on yksi merkittävimpiä suomalaisia puhallinsoittajia, joka on pitkällä urallaan nauttinut menestyksestä niin Tasavallan Presidentti -yhtyeessä kuin useiden omien kokoonpanojensa myötä. Hän on UMO Jazz Orchestran perustajajäseniä sekä palkittu mm. Jazz-Emmalla ja Yrjö-palkinnolla.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Raoul Björkenheim (s. 1956) tuli tunnetuksi 1980-luvulla Krakatau-yhtyeen keulahahmona. Hän on sittemmin levyttänyt ahkerasti useiden kansainvälisten huippumuusikoiden kanssa, mm. UMO Jazz Orchestran, RSO:n ja Tampere Filharmonian solistina. Hän on saanut useita palkintoja, mm. Yrjö-palkinnon vuonna 1984 ja Emma-palkinnon vuoden 1992 jazzlevystä Krakatau: Volition</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Viereillessaa Suomessa klassinen intialainen soolohuilisti Saurabh Vartak soittaa klassisia intialaisia ja indo-jazz-konsertteja suomalaisten jazzmuusikoiden kanssa. Hän on klassisen huilun sooloesiintyjä ja taiteilija sekä monipuolinen duetto- ja fuusioesityksissään. Duoesitys tablan taituri Gulfam Sabrin kanssa vie kuulijan Hindustani-ragamusiikin tunnelmiin.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Messissä mukana Seinäjoen kulttuuripalvelut</p>\n<p></p>\n<p></p>\n",

"fi": "<p><strong>Vapaat äänet -kiertueella Verneri Pohjola & Sylvain Rifflet: ”Cake Walk from a Spaceship”</strong></p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>Sylvain Rifflet</strong> tenorisaksofoni, shruti box, klarinetti, sävellykset<br> <strong>Verneri Pohjola</strong> trumpetti, elektroniikka<br> <strong>Csaba Palotaï</strong> kitara<br> <strong>Benjamin Flament</strong> lyömäsoittimet</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Ranskan jazzskenen ylistetyimpiin saksofonisteihin lukeutuva Sylvain Rifflet tuo Suomeen kvartettinsa, jonka kokoonpanossa on jo pitkään loistanut myös Suomen trumpetistitähti Verneri Pohjola.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Pariisin konservatorion kasvatti, saksofonisti, klarinetisti ja säveltäjä <strong>Sylvain Rifflet</strong> on saanut paljon tunnustusta omaperäisistä yhtyeistään ja projekteistaan.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Suomen konserteissa kuullaan Rifflet’n omille ”ikonisille enkeleille” omistettuja kappaleita. “Aux Anges” -ohjelman kappaleiden inspiraation lähteinä ovat toimineet mm. amerikkalaiset modernistit <strong>Steve Reich</strong>, <strong>Terry Riley </strong>ja <strong>Philip Glass</strong>, laulaja, aktivisti <strong>Abbey Lincoln</strong>, kirjailija <strong>James Baldwin </strong>sekä ohjaaja<strong>Claude Sautet</strong>.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>”Cake Walk from a Spaceship” on <strong>Verneri Pohjolalle</strong>omistettu sävellys sekä keväällä 2022 Eclipse Recordsin Suomessa julkaiseman albumin nimi.</p>\n<p>Moninkertaisesti palkittu trumpetisti-säveltäjä Verneri Pohjola on luonut viimeisen parinkymmenen vuoden aikana ainutlaatuisen soittotyylin, jonka tunnistaa ensi kuulemalta. Hänen soitossaan hehkuvat lämpö, rauhallisuus sekä vahva ja ilmeikäs improvisaatio. Säveltäjä <strong>Kaija Saariahon</strong>hänelle säveltämän ja elokuussa 2023 kantaesitetyn HUSH-trumpettikonserton myötä Pohjolan muusikkous on saavuttanut entistä laajempaa yleisöä.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Vuodesta 2012 Rifflet’n kanssa yhteistyötä tehnyt Pohjola kuvailee häntä näin: ”Sylvain on todella kunnianhimoinen taiteilija, joka pyrkii aina esittämään taidettaan korkeimmalla mahdollisella integriteetillä ja tarjoamaan yleisölle jotain mitä he eivät ole aiemmin kuulleet. Saksofonistina hänellä on todella ainutlaatuinen tenorisoundi, lähes hypnoottinen. Yhdessä he pyrkivät tekemään musiikkia, joka on sekä vanhaa että uutta, makeaa ja suolaista, villiä ja rauhallista sekä puhdasta ja myrkyllistä – aivan kuten Itämeri.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>Liudas Mockūnan</strong> pääpaino on improvisoidussa ja kokeellisessa musiikissa. Sen lisäksi Mockūnas esittää nykymusiikkia solistina ja kamariyhtyemuusikkona.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Tukholmassa asuva saksofonisti ja klarinetisti <strong>Fredrik Ljungkvist</strong> on ollut yksi aktiivisimmista ja halutuimmista improvisaattoreista kansainvälisellä näyttämöllä 34 vuoden ajan. Hän on esiintynyt yli 100 jazz-albumilla muun muassa ruotsalaisten/norjalaisten yhtyeiden kanssa kuten superyhtye Atomic.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>Mikko Innanen</strong> on luonut pitkän kansainvälisen uran saksofonistina, improvisoijana, säveltäjänä ja bändijohtajana. Innanen on yksi Helsingin luovan musiikkikentän päävoimista, yksi levy-yhtiö Fiasko Recordsin ja konsertti- ja esittävän taiteen yhdistyksen Hietsu is Happening!:n perustajista. Vuoden 2022 Down Beat Critics Pollissa Innanen voitti Rising Star -kategorian baritonisaksofonilla.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Tanskassa asuva virolaismuusikko <strong>Maria Faust</strong> on yksi tunnetuimmista Viron jazzmuusikoista. Mukana toimintaansa esittelemässä ovat kansalaisopiston lisäksi MIELI Lakeuden mielenterveys ry / MIELI Kriisikeskus Seinäjoki, Ohjaamo, Punaisen Ristin Ystävätoiminta, Nuorisopalvelut ja Harrastuspassi. Keskiviikkona 14.2. mukana on toimijoita, joista nuori voi saada apua ja tukea omaan arkeensa. Toiminnan esittelijät ovat paikalla jo klo 16.00 alkaen.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Tuuppa paikalle!</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Esiintyjät ovat 10-19 vuotiaita Luovaamo rytmimusiikin oppilaita.
