Alun perin nimityksellä on tarkoitettu vuoden 1918 tapahtumien aloituspäiväksi katsottua sunnuntaita 27.1.1918.</p>\n<p>Tänä vuonna Seinäjoen museot ja Elokuvateatteri Matin-Tupa järjestävät yhteistyössä Tammisunnuntain muistojuhlan Elokuvateatteri Matin-Tuvassa sunnuntaina 25.1.2026.</p>\n<p>Juhlapuheen pitää Jussi Asu, joka kertoo puheessaan mm. olosuhteista ennen ja jälkeen Tammisunnuntain tapahtumien sekä niistä tapahtumista, jotka johtivat hänen setänsä Juho Asun aloitteelliseen toimintaan.</p>\n<p>Puheen jälkeen seuraa Tammisunnuntai 1918 -dokumenttielokuvan näytös, ohjaus Ilkka Vanne, kesto 51 min.
