"fi": "<p>Näyttely Ville Ritolan syntymästä 130 vuotta </p>\n<p>Peräseinäjoen kirjastossa 1.1.-31.1.2026</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Ville Ritola (18.1.1896-24.4.1982) oli Peräseinäjoelta kotoisin oleva kestävyysjuoksija, jota nimitettiin ansioistaan \"Peräseinäjoen sudeksi\" sekä \"Lentäväksi suomalaiseksi\" Paavo Nurmen ja Hannes Kolehmaisen ohella. Siirtolaiseksi jo 17-vuotiaana lähtenyt Ritola asui suurimman osan elämästään Yhdysvalloissa, missä hän myös aloitti juoksu-uransa. Hän palasi kuitenkin Suomeen sekä 1924 että 1928 edustamaan synnyinmaataan olympiakisoissa.</p>\n<p>Ritola voitti Pariisin vuoden 1924 kisoissa Olympiakultaa 3000 metrin esteissä, 10 000 metrillä, 3000 metrin joukkuejuoksussa ja maastojuoksun joukkuekilpailussa. Hopeaa hän voitti maastojuoksussa ja 5000 metrin kilpailussa.</p>\n<p>Amsterdamissa vuonna 1928 hän voitti olympiakultaa 5000 metrillä ja hopeaa 10 000 metrillä.</p>\n<p>Ville Ritola oli maailman paras kestävyysjuoksija 1920-luvulla. Hänen kuuden mitalin ennätyksensä yksissä kisoissa on jäänyt lyömättömäksi yleisurheilun historiassa.</p>\n<p>Mm. Ville Ritolan mitalit Terästalolta ovat nyt nähtävissä kirjastolla näyttelyn ajan.</p>\n<p>Lähde: Olympiakomitea</p>\n<p></p>\n",
