"fi": "<p>”Nykyään on tärkeää, että löytää oman sanomansa. Luovuus, elämä ja ura menevät hukkaan, jos toistaa vain toisen sanomisia ja ajatuksia. Minusta jokaisen pitää löytää oman tiensä. Jokaisen on löydettävä oma linjansa. Kun se on löytynyt ja siihen uskoo ja tuo sitä esille, niin sinua kyllä kuunnellaan. Liian paljon etenemme toistellen toisten ajatuksia ja puhumme toisten suulla.”</p>\r\n<p>Kuvataiteellisen toiminnan lisäännyttyä Suomenselän alueella silloisella kansalaisopiston rehtorilla, äskettäin edesmenneellä professori Eero Hiirosella syntyi ajatus koota taiteesta kiinnostuneita henkilöitä keskustelemaan kuvataideyhdistyksen perustamisesta Suomenselän alueelle. Hän kirjoitti kutsukirjeessään: ”Koska kunnissa on viime vuonna virinnyt yhä voimakkaampaa kuvataiteellista toiminta, on tullut ajankohtaiseksi yhdistävään, voimia kokoavaan taiteilijaseuran aikaansaamiseen, jotta nyt jo kehittynyttä toimintaa pystyttäisiin viemään eteenpäin ja sillä saavutettaisiin parhaat mahdolliset tulokset.”</p>\r\n<p>Seura perustettiin vuonna 1968 ja sen nimeksi tuli Suomenselän Taiteilijaseura. Taiteilijaseura toteuttaa tarkoitustaan pitämällä kokouksia, järjestämällä taidenäyttelyjä, -kilpailuja ja -kursseja, tekemällä aloitteita, antamalla lausuntoja ja esittämällä kantansa toimipiirinsä kuuluvissa asioissa ja harjoittamalla kerho-ja julkaisutoimintaa. Seuran jäseninä on vaihtelevasti n. 75-100 taiteen alueella menestynyttä ammattitaiteilijaa ja taiteenharrastajaa.</p>\r\n<p>Taiteilijat edustavat lähes kaikki visuaalisten taiteiden alueita: öljy, akvarelli, akryyli, guassi, tempera, piirtaminen, grafiikan eri lajit, kuvanveisto ja lasi. Seuran puheenjohtahana toimi kuvataiteilija, taidegraafikko Marita Erkkola-Järvinen.</p>\r\n<p>Nelimarkka-museon näyttely juhlistaa seuran 50:tä toimintavuotta. Juhlanäyttelyyn osallistuminen on suunnattu ainoastaan seuran jäsenille ja taiteilijat valitaan jurytyksellä. Näyttelyn yhteydessä julkisetaan myös seuran 50-vuotishistoriikki.</p>\r\n"
