Myös tarinan hahmot nousevat näiden laulujen maailmasta. Musikaalissa on mukana tuttuja hittejä, mutta myös harvinaisempia helmiä Hanhiniemen pitkän uran ajalta. </span>\r\n\r\n\"<span style=\"display: inline !important;\"><i>Kolmannen naisen kappaleet elää porskuttavat edelleen vahvoina. Ne kuvaavat yhtälailla tätä aikaa, kuin sitä, jolloin ne on tehty. Se on klassikon merkki. Ja koko ajan Hanhiniemi on tehnyt myös uutta musiikkia. Yhtye soittaa sielunmaisemia Karjalan tanssimailta: se tulkitsee ja tunnelmoi musiikkia Kivimäen uudelta Ilja-albumilta. </span>\r\n\r\nIlja-albumi päättää Kivimäen luoman Suistamo- konsertti- ja levysarjan. Samalla Kivimäki jättää jäähyväiset Suistamo-työn tutkimuksen kohteelle, karjalaiselle tarinankertoja, haitarinsoittaja Ilja Kotikalliolle (1894–1961), joka vietti osan elämästään Etelä-Pohjanmaalla, Lapualla. Suistamo-sarja oli osa Kivimäen Taideyliopiston Sibelius-Akatemiaan suorittamaa tohtorintutkintoa, jossa hän tutki 1900-luvun alun rajakarjalaista musiikkielämää ja loi musiikkia Ilja Kotikallion tarinoiden siivittämänä.\r\n\r\n<span style=\"display: inline !important;\">Anne-Mari Kivimäki on Tampereella asuva freelance-muusikko, säveltäjä ja sanoittaja. Hän on kehittänyt venäläisen Notka-haitarin ympärille yhtyeitä ja monitaiteellisia soivia taideteoksia ja luonut oman soittotyylin, nykykarjalaisen haitari-trancen. Kivimäen mukana kiertueella soittavat kansanmusiikin ja jazzin huippunimet, kontrabassotaiteilija Ville Rauhala ja viulumestari Piia Kleemola. </span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"display: inline !important;\">Anne-Mari Kivimäki – haitari, laulu\r\n</span><span style=\"display: inline !important;\">Piia Kleemola – viulu, jouhikko, laulu\r\n</span><span style=\"display: inline !important;\">Ville Rauhala – kontrabasso, laulu</span>"
