Acapella-lauluyhtye Concerto konsertoi yhdessä merikarvialaisen Aava-yhtyeen kanssa Seinäjoen kaupungintalon salissa ti 14.7. klo 18 otsikolla \"Joki kohtaa meren\". Konsertissa Concerto ja Aava tuovat harmonioita ja tunnelmia sekä yhdessä soivan tarinan joelta merelle. Musiikin rinnalla nähdään Artturi Kivinevan luontokuvia. Konserttiin on vapaa pääsy, ohjelma 10e.

Concerto on seinäjokelais-ilmajokinen lauluyhtye, joka laulaa monenlaista musiikkia suomeksi ja englanniksi. Yhtyeessä laulavat Anna Maria Rauha (sopraano), Taru Kivineva (altto), Teemu Kojonen (tenori) sekä Jussi-Pekka Rauha (basso).

Concerto on esiintynyt monenlaisissa tilaisuuksissa, kuten Ilmiöiden yö -tapahtumassa, Ilmajoen oopperajuhlilla sekä Köörikränät-kuorokilpailussa, jossa sijoitus oli toinen (v. 2025). Merikarvialaista Aava-yhtyettä johtaa Guido Kriik.

Tällä lapsille ja perheille suunnatulla näyttelyopastuksella tutustutaan Taidehallin Vintillä olevaan Flashback -näyttelyyn. Taidehallin oppaan kanssa päästään tutustumaan näyttelyn teoksiin lapsen katseen kautta teoksia vapaasti ihmetellen ja tutkien.

Sana flashback tarkoittaa hetkeä, jolloin jokin asia – kuten kuva, esine tai ääni – tuo mieleen muiston jostain, mitä on tapahtunut aiemmin. Ehkä sinullekin on joskus käynyt niin, että tuttu haju tai lelu on muistuttanut sinua jostain tärkeästä hetkestä? Näyttelyssä on erilaisia teoksia, kuten kuvia, videoita ja esineitä. Taiteilijat ovat tehneet ne kertomaan erilaisia tarinoita heidän kokemistaan asioista. Kaikki muistot eivät ole samanlaisia – ne voivat olla iloisia, hassuja, jännittäviä tai joskus vähän surullisiakin.

Veistos maatuu tai sen voi tuhota juhlarituaalimaisesti kuin piñatan, jolloin siemenet vapautuvat ympäristöön kaikkien iloksi. Meadow Pods -veistokset kantavat toivoa paremmasta ilmastosta, kun siemenet juurtuvat osaksi paikallista ympäristöä.

Gabriella Presnal

\n

Gabriella Presnal (s. 2001) on suomalaisamerikkalainen taiteilija, joka on aiemmin asunut Ruotsissa, Kanadassa, Tanskassa ja Yhdysvalloissa. Presnalin inspiraationa ovat tilallisuutta, julkisuutta ja kulttuurimuistia käsittelevät filosofiat. Oman taustansa lisäksi hänen töihinsä on vaikuttanut ratkaisevasti ranskalaisten filosofien Gilles Deleuzen ja Félix Guattarin teoriat nomadisesta taiteesta. Presnal soveltaa tilojen ominaispiirteitä mm. tekstiilitaiteen menetelmiin.

Come make a small hanging meadow seed sculpture out of biocomposite under the guidance of the Summer Artist. The sculpture will decompose, or you can destroy it in a festive ritual like a piñata, releasing the seeds into the environment for everyone to enjoy.

Gabriella Presnal

\n

Gabriella Presnal (b.2001, they/them) is a Finnish American artist having previously lived in Sweden, Canada, Denmark, and the U.S. Conceptually, they draw upon philosophies surrounding spatiality, publicness, and cultural memory. Alongside their own cultural background, an integral influence to their work has been Gilles Deleuze’s and Félix Guattari’s theories of nomad art wherein they apply the characteristics of spaces to textile methods. For Presnal, multidisciplinary textiles then become a model for subverting, warping, and molding spaces. Many times, their works integrate community-centric and participatory approaches, having previously created projects surrounding precarity, post-anthropocentrism, utopias, queer international youth, and more.

Muodon perintö-näyttelyn avoimia avajaisia vietetään perjantaina 4.9.2026 klo 18-22 näyttelytila Vintillä. Talossa järjestetään samaan aikaan Ilmiöiden yö-tapahtuma. Tapahtumaan on vapaa pääsy kaikille. Voit tulla yksin tai ystävien kanssa pidemmäksi aikaa, tai vaikka vain piipahtamaan hetkeksi. Tule viettämään rento perjantai-ilta taiteen parissa ilman, että tarvitset aiempaa kokemusta taidenäyttelyiden avajaisista. Lämpimästi tervetuloa!

\n<h3>Uusi näyttely</h3>\n

J.P Köykän yksityisnäyttely Muodon perintö esittelee uusia suurikokoisia maalauksia, installaation ja videoita Seinäjoelle paluumuuttaneelta kuvataiteilijalta. Vintti-tila toiminut J.P Köykälle teosten lähtökohtana. Muodon perintö -näyttelyssä raja maalauksen ja tilan arkkitehtuurin välillä hämärtyy. Köykkä tutkii teoksissaan sitä, mistä hänen visuaalinen perintönsä koostuu. Maalaus voi periä menneisyyden muodon.

J.P Köykkä (s. 1987) asuu ja työskentelee Seinäjoella. Hän on valmistunut kuvataiteilijaksi Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulusta. Köykän teoksia on Valtion taideteostoimikunnan kokoelmissa, Kansallisgalleriassa ja Tampereen taidemuseon kokoelmissa.

\n<h3>Mitä odotettavissa</h3>\n

Taidehallin avajaiset ovat kaikille avoimia, maksuttomia ja kaikenikäisille sopivia tapahtumia. Voit tulla paikalle matalalla kynnyksellä eli et tarvitse ennakkotietoa taiteesta. Avajaisissa voit: tutustua uuteen näyttelyyn omaan tahtiin, kuulla taiteilijoista ja teoksista lisää ja osallistua työpajoihin tai vain viettää aikaa muiden kanssa.Voit viipyä koko illan tai käydä nopeasti vierailulla.

\n<h3>Saapuminen Kalevan Navettaan</h3>\n

Osoite: Nyykoolinkatu 25, 60100 Seinäjoki. Rakennuksen pääovi sijaitsee Kalevan Navetan ja Itikanmäen asuintalojen välisen sisäpihan puolella. Kävellen ja pyörällä pääset Kalevan Navetalle Vaasantien kautta tai Pohjan valtatien ylittävää Lakeuden aamunkoi -siltaa pitkin.

Kalevan Navetan ympärillä on noin 50 autopaikkaa asiakkaille. Ensimmäiset kaksi (2) tuntia on ilmaista automaatista saatavalla lipukkeella tai parkkisovelluksella, ja seuraavat tunnit maksavat 1 €/h. Lähin yleinen pysäköintialue sijaitsee Maakunnankadulla noin 700 metrin päässä rakennuksesta. Vilkkaina tapahtumapäivinä suosittelemme käyttämään henkilöauton sijasta muita saapumisvaihtoehtoja tai pysäköimään auton tarvittaessa Maakunnankadun parkkialueelle.

The opening event of the exhibition Forms Of Heritage will be held on Friday, September 4rd, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Vintti exhibition space. At the same time, Ilmiöiden yö (the Phenomena of the Night) city-wide culture event will be taking place at the culture centre. Admission to the event is free for everyone. You can arrive alone, with friends, or with family, and stay as long (or as little) as you like.

\n<h3>New Exhibition</h3>\n

J.P Köykkä’s solo exhibition Forms of Heritage presents new large-scale paintings, video works and installations by Seinäjoki based artist. The past is a heritage that is transformed into forms of painting. In his works, JP Köykkä explores what his legacy consists of. What is the local visual heritage of Seinäjoki? Köykkä’s work is influenced by history of abstract painting and the region’s history of graffiti art. The forms are unrestrained, they spring from the street but find their home almost anywhere.

J.P Köykkä (b. 1987) lives and works in Seinäjoki, Finland. He holds a BA degree from Tampere University of Applied Sciences in Visual Arts. His works are included in collections such as Finnish National Gallery, State Art Deposit Collection and Tampere Art Museum.

Our exhibition openings are informal, inclusive, and suitable for all ages.You don’t need any background in art just curiosity. You can explore contemporary art in a relaxed setting, meet artists and hear the stories behind the works, join a workshop or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Whether you stay for a while or the whole evening, you are very welcome.

\n<h3>Arrival at Kalevan Navetta</h3>\n

Address: Nyykoolinkatu 25, 60100 Seinäjoki. Seinäjoki is an easy day-trip destination in Western Finland, about 1 hour by train from Tampere and 3 hours from Helsinki.

\n

The main entrance is located in the inner courtyard between Kalevan Navetta and nearby residential buildings. Walking and cycling routes lead directly to the venue. From the Seinäjoki train station 15 minutes walk. If you travel by car: around 50 parking spaces are available nearby. First 2 hours free, then €1/hour. Additional parking is available about a 10-minute walk away (Maakunnankatu area). On busy event days, we recommend arriving on foot or by bike if possible.

YKV Multi-Sport on sähäkkä ja nopeatempoinen seikkailukilpailu, jossa on riittävästi vauhtia huippu-urheilijoille, mutta sopivasti rentoutta kuntoilijoille.

Kilpailu koostuu juoksusta, pyöräilystä, melonnasta ja mahdollisista muista kulkutavoista, jotka selviävät kilpailun aikana. Seikkailukilpailu sisältää myös perustason suunnistusta kartan avulla, vesistötehtävän sekä useita nokkeluutta ja päättelykykyä mittaavia yllätystehtäviä.

\n

Kilpailuun osallistutaan kahden hengen Duo-joukkueina tai kolmen hengen Trio-joukkueina. Trio-sarja on kilpailun päämatka ja sen yhteenlaskettu pituus on noin 75-90km (4-6 tuntia). Duo-sarjan lajit ovat samat, mutta matkan pituus on yhteensä noin 40-50km (2-4 tuntia). Duo on matalan kynnyksen sarja kuntourheilua harrastaville, mutta myös Trio soveltuu monen tyyppisille seikkailijoille, jotka harrastavat aktiivisesti liikuntaa.

Keskiviikkona 29.7. järjestetään opastettuja kierroksia Seinäjoen taidehalliin! Tällä lapsille ja perheille suunnatulla näyttelyopastuksella tutustutaan Vintillä olevaan Flashback -näyttelyyn klo 12:30, 13:45 ja 15:00. Taidehallin oppaan kanssa päästään tutustumaan näyttelyn teoksiin lapsen katseen kautta teoksia vapaasti ihmetellen ja tutkien. Mitä kaikkea hassun hauskaa ja kummaa nykytaide voikaan olla?

Opastuskierros alkaa näyttelytila Vintiltä Taidehallin 3. kerroksesta ja sen kesto on noin 20 minuuttia. Alle 9-vuotiaat lapset aikuisen seurassa. Opastukselle mahtuu mukaan noin 20 ensimmäistä.

Guided tours of Kunsthalle Seinäjoki will be held on Wednesday, July 29! This exhibition tour, designed for children and families, will explore the “Flashback” exhibition on the Vintti floor at 12:30 p.m., 1:45 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. With an Art Hall guide, you’ll get to explore the exhibition’s works through a child’s eyes, freely marveling at and examining the pieces. Just how funny, fun, and strange can contemporary art be?

The guided tour begins in the Vintti exhibition space on the 3rd floor of Kunsthalle and lasts approximately 20 minutes. Children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult. The tour is limited to the first 20 participants.
