J.P Köykän yksityisnäyttely Muodon perintö esittelee uusia suurikokoisia maalauksia, installaation ja videoita Seinäjoelle paluumuuttaneelta kuvataiteilijalta. Näyttely on avoinna 5.9.2026 – 6.2.2027 Seinäjoen taidehallin Vintti-tilassa.
\nVintti-tila toiminut J.P Köykälle teosten lähtökohtana. Muodon perintö -näyttelyssä raja maalauksen ja tilan arkkitehtuurin välillä hämärtyy. Lopulta kysymys siitä, mikä on maalaus ja mikä arkkitehtoninen rakenne muuttuu toissijaiseksi. Tila muuttuu osaksi maalausta. Maalaus muuttuu osaksi tilaa. Katsoja voi kirjaimellisesti astua tilaan kuin maalaukseen.
\n<h2>Muodon perintö -näyttely tarjoaa mahdollisuuden tutkia sitä, mistä taiteilijan teokset muodostuvat</h2>
\nKöykkä tutkii teoksissaan sitä, mistä hänen visuaalinen perintönsä koostuu. Maalaus voi periä menneisyyden muodon.
\nMillainen on seinäjokinen kuva- ja muotoperintö? Köykän työskentelyyn on vaikuttanut muun muassa abstraktin taiteen historia sekä alueen graffititaiteen historia. Teosten muotokieli on vallatonta. Se kumpuaa osittain katutaiteen perinnöstä, mutta on kotonaan melkein missä tahansa.
\n<h3>Taiteilija</h3>
\nJ.P Köykkä (s. 1987) asuu ja työskentelee Seinäjoella. Hän on valmistunut kuvataiteilijaksi Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulusta. Köykän teoksia on Valtion taideteostoimikunnan kokoelmissa, Kansallisgalleriassa ja Tampereen taidemuseon kokoelmissa.

\n","sv":"","en":"J.P Köykkä’s solo exhibition Forms of Heritage presents new large-scale paintings, video works and installations by Seinäjoki based artist. The exhibition is on display 5.9.2026 – 6.2.2027 in Kunsthalle Seinäjoki’s exhibition space Vintti.
\nJ.P Köykkä constructs the exhibition in a site-specific manner. The boundary between what is painting and what is spatial structure becomes blurred. Ultimately, the question becomes irrelevant. The painting takes over the Vintti-space. The space becomes a painting. The viewer can literally step inside the painting.
\n<h2>Forms of Heritage offers an overview of everything that can make up the painter’s practice</h2>
\nThe past is a heritage that is transformed into forms of painting. In his works, JP Köykkä explores what his legacy consists of. What is the local visual heritage of Seinäjoki? Köykkä’s work is influenced by history of abstract painting and the region’s history of graffiti art. The forms are unrestrained, they spring from the street but find their home almost anywhere.
\n<h3>Artist</h3>
\nJ.P Köykkä (b. 1987) lives and works in Seinäjoki, Finland. He holds a BA degree from Tampere University of Applied Sciences in Visual Arts. His works are included in collections such as Finnish National Gallery, State Art Deposit Collection and Tampere art Museum.
\n<h3>Opening event</h3>
\nThe exhibition opening will be held in conjunction with Kalevan Navetta’s Night of Phenomena (Ilmiöiden yö) cultural event on September 4, 2026.

\n🎄klo 18.30 Joulurauhan julistus alkaa fanfaarilla, soittaja Peetu Saikkonen (Epmo), Joulurauhan julistus, Seinäjoen kaupunginjohtaja Jaakko Kiiskilä yhdessä Luovaamon opiskelijoiden Teresa Luoma, 12 ja Jesse Pekonen, 15 kanssa.
\nJoulukorttivalokuvaus: Valokuvauksen hinta 20€, sisältää yhden valitsemasi kuvan digitaalisena. Koevedosgalleria toimitetaan sähköpostiinne, mistä saatte valita haluamanne kuvan. Myös lisäkuvia on mahdollista ostaa erikseen. Valokuvaus toteutetaan ilman ajanvarausta, saapumisjärjestyksessä. Maksutapoina korttimaksu tai käteinen (tasaraha). Valokuvaajaan voit tutustua esim. Instagramissa: Elena Mikkilä Photography.
\nIlta jatkuu klo 19-21 Luovaamon konsertilla, jossa pääset kuulemaan bändien esityksiä. Bändit koostuvat taiteen perusopetuksen rytmimusiikin oppilaista. Esitykset Lämppärissä (Puskantie 40). Konserttiin on vapaaehtoinen pääsymaksu (käteinen tai MobilePay), jotka kohdennetaan Hope ry:n kautta lasten ja nuorten kurssimaksujen tukemiseen.
\nTammikampus koostuu vanhan lääninsairaalan rakennuksista Puskantien, Keskuskadun ja Kalevankadun päässä. Rakennuksissa toimivat mm. Kansalaisopisto, Etelä-Pohjanmaan Musiikkiopisto, MLL sekä Ohjaamo. Autoille parkkitilaa on eniten Kalevankadun puolella.
\nTapahtumaa ovat järjestämässä Seinäjoen kaupunki: kansalaisopisto, museo, Seinäjoen kansalaisopiston opistolaiskunta ry, Ohjaamo, erityisnuorisotyö sekä Etelä-Pohjanmaan musiikkiopisto ja MLL Seinäjoki.
