The Seinäjoki United women's team is competing in the 2024–2025 indoor hockey championship series, with the season’s first tournament taking place on Sunday, November 17th.

Indoor hockey is a sport that combines elements of traditional field hockey and floorball. Come cheer on the home team and experience this fast-paced sport!

Tämän konsertin ohjelma rakentuu kahden kansallisromanttisen, pohjoismaisen säveltäjän musiikista. Sekä Sibelius, että Grieg ammensivat ahkerasti inspiraatiota luonnosta. Luonto on merkityksellinen monella tapaa, mutta sen olemassaolo ei ole itsestäänselvyys. Meidän tulisi yrittää miettiä tässä maailmassa, jossa raha ja talouskasvu ovat liian monelle paras tulevaisuuden turva, mitä ovat ne asiat, jotka todella viime kädessä merkitsevät. Luonto pitää meidät elossa.

Balladi tarkoittaa rakkauslaulua. Pyrimme tässä konsertissa soiton myötä tuomaan esille rakkauttamme luontoon ja metsään. Varmasti myös sinä, hyvä kuulija, pidät luontoa hyvin tärkeänä itsellesi. Toivottavasti tämä musiikki tuo sinut lähelle metsän kauneutta. – Viljo ja Si Un

Päästä luovuus valloilleen ja tule Kalevan Navetalla Afterstudy Art tapahtumaan 19.11. klo 17–19! Tapahtumassa pääset maalaamaan persoonallisen lasin. Voit ottaa halutessasi oman lasin mukaan, mutta tarjoamme lasin maalausta varten. Työpaja toimii non-stop-periaatteella eli voit tulla omien aikataulujen puitteissa. Opiskelijoille on myös ilmainen sisäänpääsy näyttelyyn Hevonen, robotti & mittaamaton. Paikalla on keskusteluopas klo 17-18.30 ja opas pitää pikaopastukset klo 17.30 & 18.00 kesto noin 15 minuuttia. Tapahtumaan on vapaa pääsy ja se on osa SAMO:n hyvinvointiviikkoa!

Seinäjoen joulunavaus järjestetään lauantaina 16.11. klo 13-18 keskustorilla. Luvassa on tunnelmallinen valojen ja yhdessäolon juhla, joka avaa juhlakauden upealla tavalla! Musiikkia, joulupukin tapaamista, hyväntekeväisyttä, ja jouluniloa kaikille Keskustorilla.

TUNNELMALLINEN PIIRIN JOULUPUOTI

Piirin alue on kaunis ja historiaa huokuva kaupunginosa lähellä Seinäjoen keskustaa.

\n

Piirin alueella toimi lähes 100-vuotta Törnävän sairaala.

\n

Suosittu Piirin joulupuoti järjestetään nyt jo neljännen kerran. Kotimaisten tuotteiden pop up-puoti avataan Piirin alueen portilla sijaitsevaan, vuonna 1928 valmistuneeseen, juhlatilanakin toimivaan Seurala-rakennukseen.

Joulupuodin tunnelma on ainutlaatuinen. Täällä mieli rauhoittuu ja voi hetken hengähtää arjen kiireiden keskellä.

Puodille on helppo saapua ja alueella on runsaasti ilmaisia parkkipaikkoja.

Jepa Lambert lähtee toistamiseen suositulle joulukonserttikiertueelle. Viime vuonna ensimmäistä kertaa omalle kiertueelle lähteneen Lambertin joulukonsertit vetivät kirkkoja täyteen kautta maan. Konsertissa kuullaan sielukkaita joululauluja painottaen afroamerikkalaista gospel-ohjelmistoa.

Monista TV-ohjelmista tuttu pinkkitukkainen soul-laulaja tunnetaan monipuolisesta sekä vahvasta tulkinnastaan. Suomen Adeleksikin tituleerattu laulaja esittää lämminhenkisessä konsertissaan suomen- ja englanninkielisiä joululauluja. Lambertia vahvistaa kiertueella gospeljuuret omaavat huippumuusikot pianisti Maria Ilmoniemi ja kitaristi Onni Lonka.

-Viime vuonna uskalsin lähteä ensimmäistä kertaa soolokiertueelle ja se oli ihanaa! En ole koskaan saanut niin paljon lämmintä palautetta ja rakkautta kuin silloin. Tämä rohkaisi minua lähtemään uudestaan tien päälle ja vielä vähän isommalla kokoonpanolla. Joulun viesti on rakkaus, rauha ja armollisuus toisia sekä itseämme kohtaan. Sitä haluan laulullani välittää ja uskon että meidän konsertit eivät jätä ketään kylmäksi, vaan tuovat voimaa talven pimeisiin hetkiin.

Varjoista löytyvä ilo -kokonaisuus sisältää kokoelman vuosina 2023-2024 filmille

kuvaamiani valokuvia, pigmenttivedoksiksi tulostettuna. Mukana on niin muotokuvia,

katuvalokuvia, muutamia studio-olosuhteissa rakennettuja kuvia kuin satunnaisia vastaan

\n

tulleita huomiotani herättäneitä hetkiä.

\n

Näyttelyn nimi on osin konkreettinen; ympäristössä havaitsemani pienet varjot, sekä

\n

valon ja varjon vuoropuhelu aiheuttavat minussa ohikiitävän ilon ja ihmettelyn tunteen. Usein

\n

pelkästään mielenkiintoinen valo ja varjot ovat minulle kuvan aihe itsessään. Myös

\n

muotokuvissa varjot ovat usein merkittävässä roolissa. Tai henkilöt, jotka usein jäävät

\n

varjoihin.

\n

Valokuvaajana olen enemmän tarkkailija kuin kuvan rakentaja. Osa kuvista on otettu tai

\n

tehty jokin tietty teema mielessä, pääsääntöisesti kuvaaminen on kuitenkin intuitiivista, ja

\n

teemat hahmottuvat vasta jälkikäteen. Välillä teemaa ei tarvita; riittää, että kuva koskettaa

\n

omaa esteettistä maailmaani.

Roller Derbyn SM-sarjan ja 1. divisioonan kauden 2024-2025 kolmas turnaus pelataan Seinäjoella lauantaina 23.11.24!

Tule katsomaan vauhdikasta lajia ja kannustamaan Seinäjoen kotijoukkuetta, JoKu Seinää!

Seinäjoki Roller Derby järjestää Seinäjoki Areenalla roller derby -turnauksen, jossa pelataan kaksi SM-sarjan ottelua ja yksi 1. divisioonan peli. Käynnissä olevalla kaudella Seinäjoki Roller Derby pelaa 1. divisioonassa jo toista kauttaan osana JoKu Seinä -yhdistelmäjoukkuetta. JoKu Seinä koostuu Seinäjoki Roller Derbyn, Kuopio Roller Derbyn, Joensuu Roller Derbyn sekä Jyväskylä Roller Derbyn pelaajista.

Turnauksessa pelaa kuusi eri joukkuetta:

Helsinki Roller Derby Bees, Dirty River Roller Derby Föri Fighters, Tampere Roller Derby All-Stars, Riverdale Rollers, JoKu Seinä sekä Tampere Roller Derby Howlin’ Rolls. Turnauksessa tullaan näkemään kattava edustus suomalaista roller derby -osaamista!

Seinäjoki Areenan ravintola tarjoaa turnauksen alkupuolella lounasta sekä kahvilapalveluita. Lounas on tarjolla klo 13-15.

\n

Tapahtumassa on mahdollisuus tukea roller derby -seurojen toimintaa ostamalla fanituotteita sekä Seinäjoki Roller Derbyn myimiä arpoja. Maksuvälineenä käyvät käteinen ja kortti.

Klo 14:45-16:15 Helsinki Roller Derby Bees – Dirty River Roller Derby Föri Fighters (sm-sarja)

Klo 17:15-18:45 Tampere Roller Derby All-stars – Riverdale Rollers (sm-sarja)

Tämä päihteetön tapahtuma on maksuton ja sopii kaikenikäisille!

Seinäjoki Areenalla on mahdollisuus liikkua esteettömästi. Katsomoon kuljetaan Areenan A-ovista joko portaita/hissiä käyttäen alas betonille (radanvieruskatsomo, jossa fanituote- ja arpamyynti) tai ylätasannetta pitkin nousevaan katsomoon. Ravintolapalvelut sijaitsevat A-ovien läheisyydessä ylätasanteella.
