Blue functions as a unifying element throughout the works—it creates spaces of silence, sensitivity, and tension. In color psychology, blue symbolizes trust, loyalty, and calmness. It is the color of deep thought, great dreams, intelligence, and refined style. Bright electric blue is said to evoke fearless energy.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>The series consists of portraits and plant-themed paintings. The human figure represents the inner world and emotion, while the plant motifs refer to organicity, growth, and fragility. The works can stand alone, but together they form something like a botanical atlas or fragments of an inner landscape. The seriality emphasizes a research-oriented approach: the subject is explored from different perspectives, as if observing the same phenomenon at different stages of growth or from varying distances.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>The dialogue between the works creates a visually cohesive yet conceptually open-ended whole. These sensations transform into strong colors in her paintings—sometimes even neon hues. Ranta paints multiple thin layers, occasionally allowing the paint to drip, depending on the character of the view. She is fascinated by the layered nature of landscapes, as well as by a certain sense of temporal layering.</p>\n<p>In nature, it is also easy to sense timelessness. Everything in nature is in constant change; no single moment is ever the same twice. Ranta often plays with the simplicity of a scene, since even a simple moment is, to her, multidimensional: “Likewise, I am interested in views that are full of activity. My aim is to depict the perfect order of nature, imitating it through my slightly abstract painting style. In these scenes, it is easy to feel oneself as part of nature, part of perfection.”</p>\n<p>The work <em>Spring (in the Shadow of the Spruce)</em> was inspired by the light of spring. The gaze is directed toward a window, a building that symbolizes humanity. Light reflects from the window, bringing the entire yard—the space created by humans within nature—into the presence of the work. Light glimmers in small spots through the branches of the spruce, speckling the view and offering a reminder of the awakening of a new spring. The house is abandoned; something has ended, yet at the same time something is always beginning. Hän on musiikkikasvatuksen, pedagogiikan, johtamisen ja koulutuksen kehittämisen monipuolinen ammattilainen, joka on toiminut pitkään myös orkesterinjohdon opettajana ja eri kokoonpanojen kapellimestarina.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Tule mukaan, pääset halutessasi kokeilemaan johtamista hieman itsekin! 🪄&nbsp;</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Luento on osallistujalle maksuton. Pääset tutustumaan säästämisen saloihin, perehtymään mitä on vaihdanta ja pelaamaan talousaiheista peliä. Tiedetuvassa pääset myös pipetoimaan kolikolle ja testaamaan kulutustottumuksia. Samalla voit nähdä, millaisia talouteen liittyviä asioita Vaasan yliopistossa tutkitaan.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Toiminnallisia pisteitä voi kiertää omaan tahtiin klo 16:30–18:30. Aikaa kannattaa varata 20–40 min. Tiedetupa sopii alakoululaisille ja oman aikuisen kanssa myös alle kouluikäisille.
