Lauantaina 11.9. Haapamäen Museoveturiyhdistys ry tarjoaa mahdollisuuden lähteä tyylikkäästi 1960-luvun
lättähattu-dieselmoottorivaunuilla vierailemaan Tuurin kyläkaupassa tai
Ähtärin Eläinpuistossa. Matkaan on mahdollista lähteä Seinäjoelta,
Keuruulta tai Haapamäeltä. Tuurin kyläkauppa sijaitsee Tuurin seisakkeen
välittömässä läheisyydessä, ja Ähtärin eläinpuistoon on Eläinpuisto-Zoon
seisakkeelta hieman yli kilometrin kävelymatka.

Lastenrattaille yms kookkaille matkatavaroille on valitettavasti hyvin

Jouhikon muinainen sointi siivilöityy läpi renessanssin palatsien ja Karjalan vanhauskoisten tupien, kun jouhikonsoittaja Ilkka Heinonen yhdistää karjalaiset tanssisävelmät vanhan musiikin estetiikkaan ja live-elektroniikkaan. Heinosen jouhikko vaeltaa pyhän ja maallisen rajapinnoilla, sekä karheana että hienovaraisesti soiden.

Ilkka Heinonen on helsinkiläinen kansanmusiikkiin ja maailmanmusiikkiin erikoistunut muusikko ja säveltäjä, soittiminaan jouhikko, kontrabasso ja G-violone. Euroopan kansanmusiikkikulttuureista vaikutteensa saaneiden yhtyeiden lisäksi Heinonen on toiminut niin solistina kuin orkestereissakin nykymusiikin ja vanhan musiikin produktioissa.

Teemu Viinikainen on yksi Suomen tunnetuimmista ja arvostetuimmista jazzkitaristeista. Hänen soitossaan ilmaisuvoima, svengi ja virtuositeetti ovat tärkeitä elementtejä, mutta päällimmäisiksi tuntemukseksi häntä kuunnellessa nousevat kuitenkin vahva läsnäolo, herkkyys ja kitaran kaunis sointi.

Hän aloitti kitaransoiton 7-vuotiaana ja hakeutui myöhemmin opiskelemaan Helsingin Pop & Jazz -konservatoriolla ja sen jälkeen Sibelius-Akatemian jazzosastolle, josta hä valmistui musiikin maisteriksi vuonna 2005. Viinikainen on opiskellut kitaransoittoa nimekkäiden opettajien kuten Pat Methenyn ja Wayne Krantzin johdolla.

Seinäjoen lennokkikerho RC-AirClub avaa syyskautensa järjestämällä lennokkiharrastuksen tutustumisillan Kurjennevan lennokkikentällä. Illan aikana kentällä on esillä erilaisia lennokkeja ja kerrotaan harrastuksen aloittamisesta.

Lennokkiharrastuksen voi aloittaa noin 10 vuotiaana vanhemman tai vaikka isoveljen avustuksella ja noin 15 vuotiaat hallitsevat työkalut, liimat ja tekniikan jo hyvin yksinkin kerhonohjaajien avustuksella.

Lennokkikerhon kertoillat Rytmikorjaamon kerhotilassa aloitetaan torstaina 26.8.2021 klo 18 ja mukaan voi tulla myöhemminkin, ennakkoilmoittautumisia ei tarvita.

Kerhotiloissa noudatetaan hyvää käsihygieniaa, maskisuositus on voimassa ja flunssaoireisena ei tulla paikalle.

Kulttuuripumppu ry:n performanssiryhmä saapuu Liukuhihnatuotanto-tapahtuman merkeissä Seinäjoen vanhan verkatehtaan, nykyisen Taidehallin tiloihin Kalevan Navettaan. Kalevan Navetassa toimi vuosina 1909 – 1929 Seinäjoen, ja myöhemmässä vaiheessa Pohjanmaan verkatehdas. On aika virittää tekstiilitehdas uuteen uskoon.

Taiteilijat muodostavat pedatila Itikkaan performatiivisen liukuhihnajärjestelmän, jota kautta jo tehtaassa olevat sekä yleisön paikan päällä lahjoittamat tekstiilit liukuvat kohti uutta elämäänsä. Tekstiilit muovautuvat taiteilijoiden hyppysissä taideteoksiksi ja lopulta tilaa somistavaksi tilataideteokseksi. Yhden päivän mittainen interaktiivinen, improvisaatioon ja säntilliseen tehdastyöläisen päivärytmiin perustuva performanssi synnyttää näyttelyn, joka on nähtävillä tehdasvaihetta seuraavana päivänä.

Elämme ajassa, jossa tekoäly haastaa inhimillisen ajattelun ja päätöksenteon – jopa luovuuden. Algoritmit voivat tietää meistä enemmän, kuin me itse. Teknologian kehitys huolestuttaa monia ja herättää mielikuvia Terminaattori-elokuvien kaltaisesta tuomionpäivän skenaariosta. Näyttelyn näkökulma tähän kaikkeen on sen sijaan romanttisempi.

Razavin teokset keskittyvät limittyvien fyysisten ja digitaalisten kokemusten rajapintoihin, keinotekoisten ja todellisten tilojen välille. Esillä on sarja valokuvia, jotka muistuttavat klassisia maisemamaalauksia koristeellisissa kehyksissä. Todellisuudessa ne ovat ruutukaappauksia videopeleistä: kauniita, tietokoneen luomia kuvia. Esillä oleva videoteos tutkii samaa kuvastoa impressionistisemmasta näkökulmasta. Hylätystä pelieleketroniikasta ja kasveista tehdyt veistokset vievät orgaanisen ja digitaalisen suhteen pidemmälle.

Bita Razavi (b.1983, Tehran) on taiteilija, joka asuu ja työskentelee Helsingissä ja Viron maaseudulla. Taiteilijan työskentely keskittyy erilaisten jokapäiväisten tilanteiden havainnointiin ja reflektioon. Erityisesti häntä kiinnostaa, mihin nämä tilanteet perustuvat tai pohjaavat minäkin hetkenä. Razavin töitä on ollut esillä mm. Tehranin nykytaiteen museossa, Suomen valokuvataiteen museossa, Helsingin Design museossa, Cité International des Arts:issa, Pariisi ja Fotografisk Centerissa, Kööpenhamina. Razavi edustaa Viroa 59. Venetsian biennaalissa yhdessä taiteilija Kristina Normanin kanssa.

Kesäkuvataiteilija 2021 Riikka Gröndahl kuvasi kesä-heinäkuun ajan vapaaehtoisista hiljaisia videomuotokuvia. Niistä koostettu videoteos tallennetaan Seinäjoen museoiden arkistoon ja esitetään 80 vuoden päästä tuleville sukupolville aikalaiskuvana meidän ajastamme. Sitä ennen teos esitetään Seinäjoen taidehallissa. Näytös järjestetään 11.-14.8. pedatila Itikassa (2. kerros) Taidehallin aukioloaikoina, ke-pe klo 11-19 ja la klo 11-15. Näytös on maksuton.

Seinäjoen Tangomarkkinat järjestää yhteistyössä Seinäjoen kaupungin, yritysten ja yrittäjien kanssa Meidän Tangot -kaupunkitapahtuman Seinäjoen ydinkeskustassa 4.-7.8.2021.

Tapahtuman aikana ydinkeskustassa kuullaan paljon livemusiikkia, aina tangosta pop-musiikkiin. Lisäksi tapahtuma tarjoaa oheisohjelmaa lapsille, tanssiesityksiä, markkinamyyjiä ja yritysten promopisteitä – tietysti paikallisten toimijoiden tarjoamaa hyvää ruokaa ja juomaa unohtamatta!

Tapahtuman tarkoituksena on käynnistää toimiva ja pitkäkestoinen yhteistyö Seinäjoen Tangomarkkinoiden ja keskustan toimijoiden kesken. Lisäksi tapahtumalla halutaan elävöittää Seinäjoen kaupunkikeskustaa, ja tarjota ihmisille iloa ja riemua vaikeiden aikojen jälkeen.
