Seinäjoella Kalevan Navetassa 12.6. – 19.9.2026.
Käsityöllä fanittaminen on tunteiden, taitojen ja fanituksen yhdistelmä, joka luo ainutlaatuisia ja henkilökohtaisia fanituotteita.
Näyttelyyn on koottu käsityönä, eri tekniikoilla valmistettuja fanituotteita. Näyttelyraati on valinnut tuotteet hakemusten perusteella.

\nAnssi Jokiranta ja Anna Ruohonen kävivät 2000-luvun erämaissa, mutta ihmisestä vapaan, ikiaikaisen ja koskemattoman luonnon sijaan he löysivät kertomuksen siitä. Jokirannan märkälevytekniikalla tuotetut maisemakuvat sekä Ruohosen matkapäiväkirjojen merkinnät pohtivat, millaisia ovat mielikuviemme erämaat ja mikä niiden rooli on nyt.

\nHanna Kanto tutkii maalauksissa ja veistoksissa havumetsän hyönteisiä ja kasveja. Kanto on aiemmassa tuotannossaan tutkinut ihmisen hyötysuhdetta luontoon.

\nMari Mäkiön ja työryhmän (Jani Hietanen, Jouni Mitjanen ja Marko Tandefelt) ääni-installaatio käsittelee ihmisen ja kaarnakuoriaisen yhteiseloa. Kaarnakuoriainen on ihmissilmälle melkein näkymätön metsän asukas. Työryhmä tuo näyttelytilaan kaarnakuoriaisiin kuuluvan kirjanpainajan ääniä ja kaiverrusjälkiä. Kaarnakuoriaisiin kuuluvaa kirjanpainajaa pidetään metsänhoitajien keskuudessa tuholaishyönteisenä.
\n\nNäyttelyn avajaisia vietetään 5.3.2027 osana Afterwork Art -tapahtumaa.

The exhibition features works from Mari Mäkiö and a collaborative group (Jani Hietanen, Jouni Mitjanen and Marko Tandefelt), Anssi Jokiranta and Anna Ruohonen, and Hanna Kanto. Employing a wide range of contemporary art techniques, the exhibition explores what the Finnish wilderness might look like in 2027.
\n<h3>The Finnish word “erä”</h3>\nIn Finnish, the word erä refers to a share or portion. At the same time, it reflects a familiar Finnish relationship with nature: the forest as a source of food and materials. The exhibition is inspired by duality and contradiction embedded in the concept of erämaa (wilderness). Erämaa refers both to untouched nature and to a relationship of use and dependence between humans and the natural world.

\nAnssi Jokiranta and Anna Ruohonen travelled in wilderness areas in the 2000s, but instead of finding an untouched, pristine landscape free of human presence, they encountered stories about such a place. Jokiranta’s wet plate landscape photographs and Ruohonen’s travel diary entries reflect on what we imagine wilderness to be, and what role it plays today.

\nHanna Kanto explores forest insects and plants in her paintings and sculptures. In her earlier work, she investigated human practices of extraction in relation to nature.

\nMari Mäkiö and her working group (Jani Hietanen, Jouni Mitjanen ja Marko Tandefelt) present a sound installation that explores the co-existence of humans and bark beetles. The bark beetle is a forest inhabitant that is almost invisible to the human eye. The group brings the sounds and traces of bark beetles into the exhibition space. Spruce bark beetle (latin Ips typographus) is considered a pest among Finnish foresters.
\n\nThe exhibition opening will be held in conjunction with Kalevan Navetta’s Afterwork Art event on March 5, 2027.

Phantoms on tanskalaisen taiteilijan ensimmäinen yksityisnäyttely Suomessa. Performanssia, ääntä ja veistoksia yhdistelevä aavemainen näyttely on Taidehallin ohjelmahistoriassa ainutlaatuinen. Kokonaisuus muuttuu ja elää kevään aikana.
\nPhantoms-näyttelyssä hirviömäisiksi muokatut huonekalut välittävät yhteisöihin kätkeytyviä haamusärkyjä. Tholander tuo esille yhteisön pelkoja ja ennakkoluuloja, jotka kohdistuvat sekä sen jäseniin että sen ulkopuolisiin toisiin. Huonekaluilla on merkittävä rooli yhteisön rakentumisessa. Ne ovat kodin piirissä toimivien yhteisöjen liima: pysyvyyden ja tuttuuden lähde.
\n<h3>Jatkuvassa muutostilassa oleva näyttely</h3>\nPhantoms-näyttely on performanssilähtöinen. Tholander esiintyy ja muokkaa kokonaisuutta Halli-tilassa kevään aikana yhdessä työryhmän kanssa. Jatkuvasti muutostilassa oleva näyttely kuvastaa yhteisöllisyyden luonnetta. Installaation aavemainen ja näyttelyn aikana uudistuva äänimaisema muistuttaa meitä siitä, että yhteisön näkyvän osan takana on kokonainen hiljaisten eleiden ja toimijoiden valtakunta. Yhteisöt perustuvat toistuville neuvotteluille, joissa määritellään yhteisön rajat ja niiden ulkopuolelle jäävät ”toiset”.
\nTholander käyttää näyttelyssä toiseuden tutkimiseen kehokauhun (body horror) ja kotouttamisen eli tutuksi tekemisen (domestication) keinovalikoimaa. Hän paljastaa kehoon liittyvien pelkojen avulla yhteisöissä vallitsevia ja niihin piilotettuja rajoja tutun ja vieraan välillä.

\n<h3>Taiteilija</h3>\nMark Tholander (DK) asuu ja työskentelee Kööpenhaminassa. Tholander käsittelee performanssin, veiston ja videoinstallaatioiden keinoin yhteisöllisyyttä ja yhteisöjä määritteleviä sosiaalisia sääntöjä. Hänen taiteellisen työskentelynsä pyrkii haastamaan identiteettiin, yhdessäoloon ja yhteenkuulumisen tunteeseen liittyviä perinteisiä käsityksiä.
\nHänen teoksiaan ollut esillä Aarhusin taidehallissa, Riga Performance -festivaalissa, New media Artspace -galleriassa ja useilla kansainvälisillä filmifestivaaleilla muun muassa Kiinassa ja Ranskassa. Statens Museum for Kunst eli Tanskan kansallisgallerian on hankkinut hänen tuotantoaan pysyviin kokoelmiinsa.

\n","sv":"","en":"Mark Tholander’s (DK) solo exhibition Phantoms explores communities in a fragmentary contemporary world. Phantoms marks the Danish artist’s first solo exhibition in Finland. Combining performance, sound, and sculpture, the haunting exhibition is unlike anything previously presented in Kunsthalle’s history. The exhibition evolves and transforms over the course of its run.
\nIn the exhibition, Tholander transforms domestic furniture into monstrous sculptures that evoke the phantom pains embedded within communities. Communities harbor fears and prejudices both toward themselves and toward the “others” excluded from them. Furniture plays a significant role in the formation of community. Within the home, it acts as the glue of communal life: a source of permanence and familiarity.
\n<h3>An exhibition in a state of constant flux</h3>\nThe Phantoms exhibition is performance-based. During the spring, Tholander performs and continuously reshapes the installation in the Halli space together with a working group. The constantly evolving exhibition reflects the nature of community itself. The ghostlike soundscape of the installation, which changes throughout the exhibition, reminds us that behind every community there lies an entire realm of silent gestures and unseen actors. Communities are built on negotiations that define who belongs and who remains outside as “others.”
\nIn the exhibition, Tholander draws on the aesthetics of body horror and domestication to explore otherness. By tapping into bodily fears and anxieties, he exposes the visible and invisible boundaries communities construct between the familiar and the alien.

\n<h3>The artist</h3>\nMark Tholander (DK) is a visual artist, living and working in Copenhagen. Tholander works with performance, sculpture, and video installation to explore community and the social rules that define it.His practice is occupied with challenging the traditional notions of identity, togetherness and belonging.
\nHis works have been shown at Kunsthal Aarhus, Riga Performance Festival, New Media Artspace, and several international film festivals, including in China and France. Tholander is represented in the permanent collection of SMK – Statens Museum for Kunst (National Gallery of Denmark).
\n\nThe opening event of the exhibition is held in conjunction with Kalevan Navetta’s Winter Day event on January 22, 2027.

\n\nADHD näyttäytyy monessa eri muodossa monella meillä. Fredi Lilius haluaa nyt kertoa miten hän on selviytynyt hengissä 52 vuotta ADHD:n kanssa ilman ydinräjähdystä tai kolmatta maailmansotaa.
Fredi Lilius on tamperelainen stand up -koomikko, joka on valjastanut nämä neljä kirjainta supervoimaksi. Miten se näkyy arjessa ja miten se toimii aviomiehen ja perheenisän roolissa? Miten saadaan mielenkiinto pysymään ihmisellä, kun kyseessä on työpaikka? Fredin hulvattomassa komediashow’ssa SUPERVOIMA et välttämättä löydä vastausta näihin kaikkiin kysymyksiin, mutta saat hyvän esimerkin miten 52-vuotias mies hallitsee elämäänsä SUPERVOIMANSA ansiosta.
ADHD on diagnosoitu 2020-luvulla yhä useammalla ihmisellä. Monelle tämä on pelko ja haaste arkielämään. Varsinkin nuorelle tämä aiheuttaa paljon ongelmia arkielämässä ja koulussa. Ylivilkas käyttäytyminen, vaikea keskittyä ja hidas oppiminen, dyslexia ja ylilyöntejä tunne-elämässä. Monella nämä oireet laimenevat ajan saatossa ja aikuisiässä ne ovat useasti jo saatu hallintaan. ADHD ei kuitenkaan lähde mihinkään, se saadaan hallintaan ja sen kanssa opitaan elämään.
\nOle oman elämäsi supersankari ja jätä huolet ja pelot kotiin ja tule mukaan pitämään hauskaa, kun Fredi kertoo omasta pään sisäisestä neljän ruuhkastaan!

\nVuonna 2026 Luonnonkukkien päivää teemalajina on kielo (Convallaria majalis).
\nLuonnonkukkien päivä on koko Pohjolan yhteinen kasvien juhlapäivä. Tapahtuma sai alkunsa Tanskassa vuonna 1988 ja Suomessa sitä on vietetty vuodesta 2003 alkaen. Päivän tavoitteena on lisätä kasvituntemusta, innostaa kasviharrastukseen ja tarjota yhteisiä luontoelämyksiä.

Rinnakkain elävät kaksi maailmaa, kiireinen nykymaailma kännyköineen ja autiotalon maailma, jossa kaikki hidastuu. Autiotalossa palataan vuosikymmenten taakse sen aikaiseen esine- ja värimaailmaan, vanhan puutalon tuoksuun ja lattialankkujen narinaan.
\nTein opinnäytetyöni autiotaloista. Niiden ränsistyneessä olemuksessa on itseeni vetoavaa kauneutta ja inhimillisyyttä. Talo vanhenee kuten ihminenkin. Kiertämäni autiotalot olivat monet jo osin tai lähes täysin kumaria ja romahtaneita. Luonto oli alkanut ottaa niitä valtaansa. Kasveja kasvoi talojen sisällä, ampiaiset olivat tehneet pesänsä ikkunaruudun väliin.
\nNäyttelyssäni näkyy se, miten luonto ottaa valtaansa vanhan rakennuksen. Puut, kasvit ja kukat valtaavat alaa romahtaneessa talossa. Lepakot, perhoset ja ampiaiset asuttavat nyt taloa ihmisen sijaan.
\nKoin taloissa käydessäni eräänlaisia surrealistisia tunteita katsellessani talojen esineitä. Esineitä oli kummallisissa paikoissa ja ne muodostivat keskenään outoja esinepareja tai ryhmiä. Tähän voi olla syynä taloissa käyneet kutsumattomat vieraat.
\nOlen Kuvataiteilija Yamk. Työskentelen maalauksen, kolmiulotteisten kangasveistosten ja installaatioiden parissa.
