Lapualla, Ala-Talkkari Areenalla polkaistaan käyntiin driftingin SM Pro 2 sarja.

Sarjan ensimmäistä osakilpailua isännöi Lapuan Urheiluautoilijat.

\n

Valtavan suosion saanut näyttävä ja nopeatempoinen laji keräsi huimat 80 kuljettajaa sarjan avausosakilpailuun.

\n

Näyttävän kilvanajon lisäksi kisapaikalla palvelee kioski, jossa on myynissä ruokaa, makkaraa, sämpylöitä, limsaa sekä kahvia. Paikalla on myös Rollsin myyntirekka, sekä upeita ja herkullisia kuplavohveleita myyvä vaunu. Pehmistä ja lakua on myös tarjolla tuttuun tapaan.

Ossi Somppi on kauhavalainentaiteilija, eläköitynyt yrittäjä sekä maanviljelijä.
Hänen vahvuuksiaan taiteilijana ovat öljyvärimaalaukset sekä akryyli sekatekniikalla.
Teokset koostuvat erityisesti henkilö- ja muotokuvista sekä maisemista ja asetelmista.
Ominaista hänen teoksilleen ovat tummat ja murretut sävyt.

Yrittäjänä toimiminen vuodesta 1988 alkaen Kauhavan Taide- ja Kehystysliikkeessä on ollut Ossin Sompin päätyö ja sivutoimisesti hän on toiminut maanviljelijänä. Taitelijana hän on itseoppinut ja kertoo kiinnostuksen maalaamiseen ja piirtämiseen alkaneen jo kouluikäisenä. Ossi Somppi on toiminut Järvilakeuden kansalaisopiston taideohjaajana 31 vuotta.
Osaltaan kipinää taiteen pariin on varmasti antanut myös hänen setänsä edesmennyt taiteilija Juho Somppi, joka kouluttautui Tove Janssonin kanssa samalla luokalla Ateneumissa.

Teoksia Ossin taiteilijauran aikana on kertynyt reippaasti yli 200, joista Kaareen hänen 75-vuotisjuhlanäyttelyynsä tulee aina 60-luvusta tähän päivään saakka yhteensä n. 40 kappaletta. Hän kertoo aiheiden teoksiin tulevan monesti siitä, että hän katselee kuvia ja haluaa tehdä niistä omat versionsa. Hänen teoksiaan on tilattu paljon ympäri Suomea sekä myös Kanadaan ja Belgiaan saakka.

Ossi Sompin 75-vuotis juhlanäyttely on esillä galleria Kaaressa 02.06. – 31.08.2026 Kauhavan pääkirjaston kesäaukioloaikojen puitteissa arkipäivisin maanantaista perjantaihin klo 12 – 16. Näyttelyn avajaisia vietetään Kaaressa 02.06. klo 17-19. Paikalla taitelija kertomassa teoksistaan, Nuoret Pianistit musisoimassa, tarjolla kahvia ja teetä sekä pientä purtavaa. Heinäkuun lempeässä kesäillassa Koskirannan puutarhaan saapuu lapualainen laulaja-lauluntekijä RUPU duona veljensä kanssa.

Luvassa on intiimi ja pysäyttävä konsertti-ilta, jossa merkitykselliset sanoitukset, hauraus, tummat sävyt ja lohtu kulkevat rinnakkain.

Rupun musiikki ei silittele pintaa.
Se pysäyttää, riipaisee ja joskus ehkä vähän ravisteleekin, mutta samalla muistuttaa siitä, että myös raskaimmissa tunteissa on jotain kaunista ja ihmisyyttä yhdistävää. ❤️

Koskirannan kesäilloissa ihmiset saapuvat paikalle vilttien, eväskorien ja kiireettömyyden kanssa. Tällä kertaa puutarhan vehreys kohtaa Rupun tummasävyisen ja rehellisen musiikillisen maailman ja ehkä juuri siinä kontrastissa syntyy jotain ainutlaatuista.

Kevään lahjakirjat ovat noudettavissa kustantamoltamme maanantaista perjantaihin klo 13-14. Kirjavalikoimassamme on saatavilla ihania kirjalahjoja: romaaneita, runokirjoja, nuorten ja lasten kirjoja sekä luontokirjoja.

Tutustu kirjoihin kotisivuillamme tai verkkokaupassamme, tee varaus ja tule noutamaan kirjat toimipisteestämme Käräjävuorentieltä. Maksu paikan päällä tai etukäteen. - Tervetuloa hyvien kirjojen pariin!
