Taidelaboratorio tarjoaa traditioista vapaan tilan ja ajan luoda uutta. Kokeilun ja usein epäonnistumistenkin kautta syntyy oivalluksia ja ennalta määrittelemättömiä lopputuloksia. Taidelaboratorio toimii yhteistyössä ympäröivän luonnon ja yhteisön kanssa. Molemmat ovat osana sekä prosessia että projektin päätepistettä.

Taidelaboratorio toimii kylätalo Puuhissa Soinin Iiroonrannassa 18.–23.8.2025. Laboranttina toimii maaliskuussa 2025 ensikonserttinsa soittanut Suomen ainoa periodisoittimin soittava jousikvartetti Guts! Guts! koostuu neljästä monipuolista kansainvälistä uraa tekevästä jousisoittajasta, joiden ammatillisia polkuja yhdistää laaja kokemus erilaisissa kamarimusiikkikokoonpanoissa toimimisesta sekä vanhan musiikin ajanmukaisten esityskäytänteiden sekä soittimien hallinta. Suomalais-ranskalaisen kokoonpanon jäsenet asuvat eri puolilla Eurooppaa, mutta toimivat kaikki aktiivisesti suomalaisen musiikkielämän hyväksi.

Soinissa Guts! työskentelee eri aikakausien musiikkia sisältävän ohjelman parissa yhdessä Soinin yhtenäiskoulun oppilaiden kanssa. Taidelaboratorio päättyy konserttiin, jossa nautitaan paitsi viikon musiikillisista hedelmistä myös lappajärveläisen kokin Tiina Kujalan lähiruuasta.

Marja-Liisa Orgelsuite on kuuden pohjoismaisen muusikon ja kuuden matkaharmoonin yhteisteos, jonka kokoonkutsuja on norjalainen säveltäjä Mariann Torset. Konsertti toteutettiin alunperin tilausteoksena Kalottspel-kansanmusiikkifestivaalille ja ensiesitys Målselvissa Norjassa elokuussa 2018 sai yleisöltä lämpimän vastaanoton.

Esityksessä Milla Viljamaa ja Leija Lautamaja Suomesta, Kristina Bergström ja Janne Strömstedt Ruotsista sekä Lena Jinnegren ja Mariann Torset Norjasta tutkivat mitä kuuden matkaharmoonin ja ennakkoluulottomien muusikoiden yhdistelmällä voi saada aikaan. Lopputulos on Marja-Liisa Orgelsuite ja sen ennenkuulumaton tilassa liikkuva äänimaisema.

Muusikoiden lisäksi Marja-Liisa Orgelsuitea ovat olleet toteuttamassa tuottaja Terje Foshaug Folkemusikk Nordista, koreografi Sigurd Johan Heide sekä Kalottspel- kansanmusiikkifestivaali. Viime vuosien aikana esitys on kiertänyt aktiivisesti Norjassa, Ruotsissa ja Suomessa. Projektia ovat tukeneet Det norske komponistfond, Nordisk Kulturfond, Nordisk Kulturkontakt sekä Folkemusikk Nord/Troms fylkeskommune.
