Viimeisessä tori-illassa 5.8. lavalle nousee Charlotta Saari & Rami Loukola duo, sekä Rytmiorkesteri Tuikku!

Tangokuningatar 2023 Charlotta Saari tuo raikkaan tuulahduksen lavoille nuorella energiallaan ja aurinkoisella olemuksellaan. Persoonallinen vahva ääni, sekä lavakarisma valloittaa yleisön ja runsas esiintymiskokemus näkyy ja kuuluu. Monipuolinen ohjelmisto tarjoilee perinteista ja uutta toimivalla kokonaisuudella. Charlotta on tehnyt ja julkaissut omaakin musiikkia ja haluaa luoda uraa monipuolisesti, pääasiassa tanssilavoja valloittaen.

Rytmiorkesteri Tuikku perustettiin 7 vuotta sitten kun osa jäsenistä oli
mukana Kurikan kansalaisopiston kurssilla yhdessä. Suurin osa
seitsemästä jäsenestä on ollut alusta pitäen, muutama on liittynyt
myöhemmin. Musiikkiina soi iskelmärockia jäsenten
suosikeilta, esimerkiksi Juicea ja CCR:ää.

Lauantaina 9.8. juhlitaan Tove Janssonin syntymäpäivää ja suomalaisen taiteen päivää. Toven ja kotimaisen taiteen kunniaksi museon kaikkiin näyttelyihin on maksuton sisäänpääsy.

Eero Nelimarkan osin uudistettu perusnäyttely Punaiset tossut ja Silinterihattu loppuu hieman aikaistetusti sunnuntaina 10. elokuuta.

Kirsi Julkun ja Pohjalaisen Taiteilijaliiton näyttelyt loppuvat viikkoa myöhemmin, sunnuntaina 17. elokuuta.

Eero Nelimarkan uusittu perusnäyttely esittelee kansallistaiteilijan monipuolisuuden taiteentekijänä. Tunnettuja ovat lakeusmaisemat ja pohjalaiset tupakuvat, mutta Nelimarkan pitkään tuotantoon mahtuu yhtä lailla herkkävireisiä muotokuvia, yllättäviä asetelmia tai kaupunkikuvauksia. Kuraattori Riitta Ojanperän ripustus nostaa esiin runsaasti harvemmin nähtyjä 1910-luvun töitä, joiden lyyrisyys ja herkkyys hakevat vertaisiaan.
