Ystävykset halusivat vain jamitella keskenään, mutta yleisö oli toista mieltä. Ilo tarttui kuulijoihin, jotka alkoivat vaatia levyjä ja konsertteja. Nyt Maksetut Viulut on yksi Suomen rakastetuimmista hengellisistä yhtyeistä. Viisihenkinen folk pop -yhtye tunnetaan omaleimaisesta soinnistaan ja pitelemättömästä lavaenergiastaan. Yhtyeen jäsenet ovat ennakkoluulottomia hengellisten klassikoiden tulkitsijoita ja taitavia laulunkirjoittajia. Maksettujen Viulujen keikat ovat poikkeuksellisen mukaansatempaavia ja niistä nauttivat kaiken ikäiset kuulijat.

Senni Valtosen Virsien pyörteissä -konsertissa kuullaan kanteleen ryöppyävää helinää, kansansävelmiä sekä villiä improvisaatiota virsikirjamme rakkaista sävelmäaarteista. Suomalaisen virsisävelistön perinteisyys ja kansanmusiikin vapaus yhdistyvät Senni Valtosen käsissä raikkaalla tavalla.

“Virsikirjan tutut ja tuntemattomammatkin sävelmät ovat mielestäni kiehtovia.” kertoo multi-instrumentalisti Senni Valtonen konsertin teemasta. \"Toivotan yleisön mukaan heittäytymään yhteiselle matkalle virsisävelmien maailmaan.” Valtonen jatkaa.

Viime aikojen uutisoinnit nuorten ja lasten väkivaltatapauksista ovat nostaneet esiin kysymyksen: miksi väkivalta näyttäisi olevan kasvussa nuorten keskuudessa, ja mitä voimme tehdä tämän ehkäisemiseksi?

Tässä ohjelmassa paneudumme ilmiön taustoihin, syihin ja seurauksiin asiantuntijoiden johdolla. Keskustelussa käsitellään erityisesti yhteisöllisyyden, ennaltaehkäisevien toimien ja kirkon roolia nuorten tukemisessa. Kuulemme nuorten parissa työskentelevien ammattilaisten näkemyksiä ja saamme konkreettisia vinkkejä siitä, miten jokainen meistä voi olla tukemassa väkivallan ehkäisyä.

Seinäjoen seurakunta on saanut Euroopan maaseuturahastolta tukea hankkeeseen, jossa rakennettiin vapaaehtoisvoimin ja yhteistyössä Lakeuden Elämysliikunta ry:n kanssa esteetön laavu, wc sekä puulato Pappilankorpeen Seinäjoen seurakunnan omistamaan metsään. Esteettömät reitit johdattavat alueen luontokohteisiin ja hiljentymispaikkaan Ristimetsän alttarille.

Kirkko keskeltä kylää – muuttuva kirkko mediassa ja suuren yleisön silmissä

Kirkko on jälleen kerran murroksessa, eikä kukaan takaa enää paikkaa keskellä kylää. Kirkko ja uskonnot kiinnostavat mediaa, mutta mielikuva kirkosta muokkautuu myös mainekriisien kautta. Ne foorumit, joissa kirkko saa olla mukana nimenomaan kirkkona vähenevät, eikä kirkkoa koeta välttämättä myönteiseksi yhteistyökumppaniksi, vaan yhä useammin ongelmalliseksi.

Keskustelussa pohditaan muutosta mediassa ja kansalaisten parissa suhteessa kirkkoon ja kristinuskoon. Millä tavalla kirkko muuttuneessa tilanteessa voi näkyä mediassa, ja voiko se vaikuttaa syntyvään mielikuvaan? Onko vika peilissä vai kasvoissa? Tule mukaan yhteiseen tilaisuuteen, jossa mukana niin asiantuntijoita kuin kokemusasiantuntijoitakin. Millaisia ajatuksia sinulla on kirkon positiivisen näkyvyyden vahvistamiseksi?

Ohjelmassa syvennytään osallistavan auttamisen teemaan elävästi sanoin, esimerkein ja kuvin.

Lavalla nähdään inspiroivia puheenvuoroja toimittaja Outi Airolalta, Minimani Oy:n tuotepäällikkö Jaana Metsärannalta sekä Helsingin yliopiston sosiaalipolitiikan professori Heikki Hiilamolta. Musiikista vastaavat nuorisotyöntekijä, muusikko, lauluntekijä Teemu Kentta ja diakoniajohtaja, muusikko, lauluntekijä Otto Savolainen. Tilaisuuden juontaa kokenut toimittaja ja juontaja Keijo Leppänen, joka johdattaa kuulijat tämän tärkeän teeman pariin.

Kanavaan osallistumisen lisäksi Kirkkopäiville osallistuja voi halutessaan käydä tutustumassa Seinäjoen seurakunnan ylläpitämään Ruokapankkiin, Matti Visannin kuja 15. Ruokapankissa osallistuja kuulee Seinäjoen ruokapankin tarinan ja halutessaan osallistujan on mahdollisuus liittyä mukaan ”yhteiseen hyvän ketjuun” ja antaa lahjoitus Ruokapankille tai vaihtoehtoisesti käydä ostamassa ruokakassi keskustan alueen lähimarketista.

Alvar Aallon suunnitteleman Lakeuden Ristin pohjoispuolella kohoava kellotorni on 65,2 m korkea. Tornissa on näköalatasanne, ja sinne pääsee hissillä tai rappusia pitkin, joissa 276 askelmaa ja välillä on 16 lepotasannetta.
