Talviuinti on edullinen, sosiaalinen ja luonnonläheinen harrastus, joka saa veren kiertämään, hormonit liikkeelle ja terveyden kukoistamaan. Laji tarjoaa sekä turvallista extremeä että rentouttavaa mindfulnessia. Avantouinti sopii lähes kaikille, mutta jos kärsit sairaudesta, neuvottele ensin lääkärin kanssa harrastuksen aloittamiseen liittyvistä riskeistä. Etenkin sydän- ja verenpaineoireet saattavat estää kylmästä kylvystä nauttimisen.

<h2>On aika juhlia!</h2>

Seinäjoen kaupungin kesäkuvataiteilijat ovat jo 10 vuoden ajan tuottaneet mahtavia taide-elämyksiä yhdessä paikallisen yleisön kanssa. Flashback-ryhmänäyttely esittelee uusia teoksia kuudelta Seinäjoen kaupungin kesäkuvataiteilijalta vuosilta 2018–2023. Seinäjoen taidehallin Vintti-näyttelytilassa nähdään teokset Eetu Kevarinmäeltä (kesäkuvataiteilija, 2018) Aeon Luxilta (kesäkuvataiteilija, 2019), Sofi Häkkiseltä (kesäkuvataiteilija, 2020), Riikka Gröndahlilta (kesäkuvataiteilija, 2021), Olivia Viitakankaalta (kesäkuvataiteilija, 2022) ja Baran Caginlilta (kesäkuvataiteilija, 2023). Vintti-tila täyttyy muun muassa maalauksesta, videoinstallaatiosta ja veistotaiteesta. Flashback-ryhmänäyttely on välähdys menneisyydestä ja kirkas näkymä tulevaisuuteen. Näyttelyn nimi Flashback viittaa takaumaan ja muistikuvaan. Taiteilijat palaavat kesäkuvataiteilijavuoden teoksiin, mutta katsovat ennen kaikkea eteenpäin.

<h3>Taidehallin taidenäyttelyiden avajaiset</h3>

Avajaiset ovat aina kaikille avoimia, maksuttomia ja kaikenikäisille sopivia tapahtumia. Avajaisia järjestetään pääasiassa Kalevan Navetan tapahtumapäivien yhteydessä, jolloin talo on täynnä myös muuta monipuolista kulttuuriohjelmaa. Avajaisissa järjestetään taiteilijoiden ja kuraattoreiden haastatteluja, avoimia työpajoja ja opastuksia, joiden avulla uudesta näyttelystä saa enemmän irti.

<h3>Saapuminen Kalevan Navettaan</h3>

Osoite: Nyykoolinkatu 25, 60100 Seinäjoki. Rakennuksen pääovi sijaitsee Kalevan Navetan ja Itikanmäen asuintalojen välisen sisäpihan puolella. Kävellen ja pyörällä pääset Kalevan Navetalle Vaasantien kautta tai Pohjan valtatien ylittävää Lakeuden aamunkoi -siltaa pitkin.

Kalevan Navetan ympärillä on noin 50 autopaikkaa asiakkaille. Ensimmäiset kaksi (2) tuntia on ilmaista automaatista saatavalla lipukkeella tai parkkisovelluksella, ja seuraavat tunnit maksavat 1 €/h. Lähin yleinen pysäköintialue sijaitsee Maakunnankadulla noin 700 metrin päässä rakennuksesta. Vilkkaina tapahtumapäivinä suosittelemme käyttämään henkilöauton sijasta muita saapumisvaihtoehtoja tai pysäköimään auton tarvittaessa Maakunnankadun parkkialueelle.

<h3>It’s time to celebrate!</h3>

For 10 years, the summer artists of Seinäjoki have been creating amazing art experiences together with the local audience. The Flashback group exhibition presents new works by six Seinäjoki summer artists from 2018–2023. The Vintti exhibition space at Seinäjoki Art Hall will feature works by Eetu Kevarinmäki (summer artist, 2018), Aeon Lux (summer artist, 2019), Sofi Häkkinen (summer artist, 2020), Riikka Gröndahl (summer artist, 2021), Olivia Viitakangas (summer artist, 2022), and Baran Caginli (summer artist, 2023). The Vintti space will be filled with paintings, video installations and sculptures, among other things. The Flashback group exhibition is a glimpse into the past and a clear view of the future. The name Flashback refers to memories and recollections. The artists return to the works of the summer artist year, but above all, they look ahead.

<h3>Kunsthalle Seinäjoki Art Exhibition Opening Events</h3>

The opening events of Kunsthalle Seinäjoki art exhibitions are always open to all, free of charge and suitable for all ages. The opening events are mainly organised in conjunction with the Kalevan Navetta’s event days, when the house is also full of other cultural things to do. The opening events include interviews with artists and curators, open workshops and guided tours to help you get the most out of the new exhibition.

<h3>Arrival at Kalevan Navetta</h3>

\n

Address: Nyykoolinkatu 25, 60100 Seinäjoki. The main door of the building is located on the side of the courtyard between Kalevan Navetta and Itikanmäki residential buildings. Kalevan Navetta can be reached on foot or by bicycle via Vaasantie or the Lakeuden aamunkoi bridge over Pohjan valtatie.

There are about 50 parking spaces for customers around Kalevan Navetta. The first two (2) hours are free with a ticket from the vending machine or parking app, and the following hours cost €1/h. The nearest public parking is located on Maakunnankatu, approximately 700 metres from the building. On busy event days, we recommend using other means of arrival instead of a car or parking in the Maakunnankatu parking area if necessary.

Yhteinen tahti -marssimusiikkikonsertti kajahtaa kahden orkesterin voimin Kurikassa!

Vuoden puhallinorkesteriksi valittu Kurikan Soittokunta sekä Pohjanmaan maanpuolustussoittokuntana toimiva Suupohjan Puhallinorkesteri yhdistävät voimansa ja tarjoilevat upean kattauksen marsseja ympäri maailman. Marssimusiikki edustaa juhlavia teoksia häämarsseista surumarsseihin ja paraatimarsseista sirkusmarsseihin. Monipuolisessa viihdemusiikkikonsertissa voit kuulla marsseja mm. Englannista, Amerikasta, Espanjasta ja Norjasta kotimaisia suurteoksia unohtamatta.

Konsertin kapellimestareina toimivat Suupohjan Puhallinorkesterin kapellimestari, Kapteeni evp Sami Salmivuori sekä Kurikan Soittokunnan taiteellinen johtaja Pekka Väätäinen.

Konsertti järjestetään Kurikassa Tuiskulan koulun liikuntasalissa lauantaina 18.4. klo 18.00. Väliajalla on nautittavissa omakustanteisesti Seinäjoen seudun Sotilaskotiyhdistyksen herkulliset munkkikahvit.
