Lapualaissyntyinen Kaisa Ikola / Viitala on pitkän linjan kirjailija, joka tunnetaan mm. 1990-luvulla Kaisa Ikolan nimellä ilmestyneistä Ylämaa- ja Hullu luokka -sarjoista.

\n

Uusimmassa, Kaisa Viitalan nimellä ilmestyvässä 1700-luvun Skotlantiin sijoittuvassa kirjasarjassa päähenkilö on liikuntavammainen nuori nainen. Tämän hahmoa luodessaan on osteogenesis imperfecta -luustosairauden kanssa elävä Viitala hyödyntänyt omia kokemuksiaan liikuntavammaisuudesta ja muiden ihmisten suhtautumisesta vammaisiin.

\n

Sarjan ensimmäinen osa Klaanin vieraana (2024) on ollut arvostelu- ja myyntimenestys. Sitä myytiin jo ilmestymisvuonna 10 000 kpl, se sai Kynnys ry:n Vimma-kunniamaininnan ja on mukana Storytel Awards 2024 -äänikirjakilpailussa. Sarjan toinen osa Klaanin suojeluksessa ilmestyy maaliskuussa 2025.

Pääkirjaston Aallon kirjastossa, Nurmon, Peräseinäjoen ja Ylistaron lähikirjastoissa sekä kirjastoauto Valossa vietetään lelujen vaihtoviikkoja 17.–29.3.2025. Voit tuoda vaihtoon hyväkuntoisia (puhtaita ja ehjiä) leluja tai hakea kotiin uuden lelun.

Leluja voi tuoda myös kirjastoauto Iloon ja Kyrkkärin kirjastoon, joista ne kuljetetaan Aallon kirjaston vaihtopöytään.

Pääkirjastossa leluja pääsee vaihtamaan Aallon kirjaston aukioloaikoina, lähikirjastoissa aukioloaikojen lisäksi myös itsepalveluaikana. Kirjastoauto Valossa leluja pääsee vaihtamaan iltareittien pysäkeillä.

Tämän maalaussarjan ideana on korostaa hevosurheilun runoutta, välittää hevosen jaloa ulkonäköä ja liikkeiden kauneutta.

Teokset ovat öljyllä, pastellilla, kynällä ja akvarelleilla tehtyjä maalauksia ja piirroksia, jotka havainnollistavat hetkiä hevosen ja ihmisen nopeasta liikkeestä, laukkaavien hevosten lennokasta menoa.

Myynnissä myös taiteilijan tuotannosta taidepostikortteja (maksu MobilePay).

\n

Näyttely on avoinna maaliskuun ajan kirjaston aukioloaikoina.
