Seinäjoki-salissa on ainutlaatuinen mahdollisuus kokea konsertillinen suomalaista kevyen musiikin historiaa, kun muhkeasta soinnistaan tunnettu Riku Niemi Orchestra solisteinaan Heta Halonen ja Mikael Konttinen tarjoilee konsertillisen Aarno Ranisen musiikkia.

Säveltäjä ja sovittaja Aarno Raninen (1944–2014) ehti luoda laajan ja persoonallisen taiteellisen tuotannon. Raninen muistetaan erityisesti lauluistaan, joita hän kirjoitti yhdessä sanoittajakumppaniensa Juha Vainion, Vexi Salmen ja Pertsa Reposen kanssa.

Aarno Ranisen kynästä ovat mm. Euroviisu-klassikot Lapponia, Joiku ja Huilumies sekä useat 80- ja 90-lukujen televisio- ja elokuvamusiikit, näiden joukossa suomalaisten edelleen viheltelemät Kymppitonnin ja Soitinmenojen tunnusmusiikit. Monet Ranisen sävellyksistä ovat saavuttaneet lähes kulttiaseman.

Kapellimestari Riku Niemen johtaman 25-henkisen RNO:n ja sen karismaattisten solistien esittämänä Aarno Ranisen kansainvälisvaikutteinen musiikki saa arvoisensa tulkinnan.

Hautajaisten jälkeen Kerttu matkustaa tätinsä Sennin luokse Vaasaan. Kaupungissa saa elää hetken aikaa kuin jonkun toisen elämää, ja kotiinpaluu alkaa tuntua yhä vaikeammalta.

Viulisti Piia Kleemola-Välimäki ja haitaristi Lauri Kotamäki esittelevät konsertissa eteläpohjalaisen kansanmusiikin parissa tekemäänsä tutkimustyön helmiä. Viulu- ja haitarimestareiden soittamat sävelmät, niistä inspiroituneet uudet kappaleet ja taustalla olevat tarinat pääsevät konsertissa esille muusikko-tutkijoiden soolo- ja duoesityksinä.

Musiikin tohtori, viulisti Piia Kleemola-Välimäki on Seinäjoella asuva muusikko ja tutkija, joka on erikoistunut suomalaiseen kansanmusiikkiin. Kleemola-Välimäen erityisalue on eteläpohjalainen pelimanniviulumusiikki, jota hän parhaillaan tutkii eteläpohjalaisten viulupelimannien soittotyyliin keskittyvässä hankkeessa. Kleemola-Välimäki on kokenut muusikko ja pedagogi, jonka instrumentteja ovat viulun lisäksi 15-kielinen kantele, jouhikko ja laulu. Sooloesiintymisten lisäksi hän toimii muusikkona useissa suomalaista kansanmusiikkia esittävissä yhtyeissä sekä seinäjokisessa rytmimusiikin ammattilaisyhtye Laitakaupungin orkesterissa. Muusikon ja tutkijan työn ohella Kleemola-Välimäki toimii koulutuspäällikkönä Taideyliopiston Seinäjoen yksikössä.

Lauri Kotamäki on musiikin maisteri, 2-rivisen haitarin taituri ja monipuolinen perinnemusiikin ja kansanmusiikin ammattilainen. Hän on kasvanut eteläpohjalaiseen kansanmusiikkiperinteeseen, joka on muokannut vahvasti hänen musiikillista identiteettiään. Kotamäki soittaa yhtyeissä Mäsä Duo, Bill Hota, 5/5, Pirulainen, Cash Only (Jussi Lampi) ja Timo Rautiainen. Hän toimii useissa kansanmusiikkiyhtyeissä, joissa tuo oman sävel- ja soittoäänensä osaksi yhteistä sointia. Lisäksi hän opettaa, säveltää ja sanoittaa. Tällä hetkellä hän työskentelee Suomen Kulttuurirahaston Etelä-Pohjanmaan rahaston yksivuotisella apurahalla.

Oletko pienyrittäjä, mutta et tiedä, miten tekoäly voisi auttaa sinua arjessa ja liiketoiminnassasi? Tule mukaan Tekoälytorstaihin – aamukahvitilaisuuteen, jossa pureudutaan tekoälyn peruskäyttöön helposti ymmärrettävällä tavalla.

Aamukahvien äärellä pääset kuulemaan, kuinka tekoäly voi helpottaa liiketoimintaasi, tehostaa asiakaspalvelua ja vapauttaa aikaasi tärkeisiin tehtäviin. Ei tarvitse olla teknologiaekspertti – lähdemme liikkeelle perusasioista ja tarjoamme käytännön esimerkkejä, jotka voit heti ottaa käyttöön omassa yrityksessäsi. Tilaisuudessa käytetään ChatGpt:n ilmaisversiota. Teemaan johdattaa mediatuottaja Timo Nevala.

Mukaan mahtuu 8 henkilöä per tilaisuus. Tilaisuus on maksuton, mutta vaatii ennakkoilmoittautumisen.

Tekoälytorstait järjestetään Yrityspalvelupiste Formussa saman sisältöisinä kuukausittain huhtikuuhun asti kuukauden 1. torstaina klo 8-9. Tilaisuudet ovat avoimia koko Kurikan alueen yrittäjille.

Vietämme kirjastolla viherkasvien ja siementen vaihtoviikkoa viikolla 8. Voit tuoda itsellesi ylimääräisen, terveen viherkasvin tai siemenpussin ja vaihtaa toiseen. Keskiviikkona 19.helmikuuta kuulemme puutarhaharrastaja Merja Varismäen ja puutarhuri Minna Saaren vinkkejä viherkasvien hoitoon, siemenkasvatukseen ja keväisiin puutarhatöihin klo 18. Esillä myös puutarha-aiheista kirjallisuutta. Tervetuloa!

Kirkkopäivät on herätysliikkeisiin sitoutumaton luterilaisen kirkon suurtapahtuma, yhteiskunnallisen keskustelun foorumi ja kaikenikäisten kansanjuhla, joka järjestetään joka toinen vuosi. Kirkkopäivät toteutetaan paikallisseurakunnan ja Kirkkopalvelujen sekä monien muiden toimijoiden yhteishankkeena. Vuonna 2025 Kirkkopäivät järjestetään Seinäjoella.
