Museon kokoelma kattaa radion historian kidekoneista digitaaliseen radioon ja televisioon unohtamatta sotilas-, puhelin- ja tietokonetekniikkaa.

Informaatiotekniikan Museoyhdistys on perustettu vuonna 2002 keräämään, säilyttämään ja esille tuomaan IT-laitteita ensimmäisistä puhelimista ja radioista alkaen.

\n

Museossa on runsaasti radiotekniikkaa aina vuosisadan alusta saakka, videolaitteita, kameroita, konttorikoneita, armeijan käyttämää kalustoa sekä muuta informaatiotekniikkaan liittyvää esineistöä.

Sähköpuiston alueella toimii myös kesäkioski.

Museo avoinna 2.6.-9.8. ti - su klo 12-18 juhannusta lukuunottamatta.

Jyllinkosken 1913 käyttöönotettu vesivoimalaitos tuotti aikanaan sähköä Kurikkaan, Ilmajoelle, Kauhajoelle, Jalasjärvelle ja Seinäjoelle.

Ensimmäinen sähkölaitosmuseo Suomessa entisissä Jyllinkosken voimalaitostiloissa Kurikassa. Vesivoimalaitos otettiin käyttöön vuonna 1913 ja oli toiminnassa Pitkämön voimalaitoksen valmistumiseen saakka vuoteen 1970.

Museoitu 1987. Museossa saa hyvän käsityksen, miten voimalaitos on tuottanut sähköä ja miten sähköä on jaettu talouksiin.

Museo avoinna 2.6.-9.8. tiistaista sunnuntaihin klo 12-18 juhannusta lukuunottamatta.

Sähköpuiston alueella toimii myös kesäkioski.

Teuvalla vietetään 30.7.-9.8.2026 Elolystit kulttuuri-​ ja kesätapahtumaviikkoa, joka alkaa upealla Sirkus Finlandian 50-​vuotisjuhlakiertueella ja päättyy Tapani Kansa – Taiteilija -​musiikkinäytelmään. Elolystit viikon tapahtumia järjestämässä ovat Teuvan kunta, teuvalaiset yhdistykset ja järjestöt sekä muut yhteistyötahot. Ohjelmaa löytyy kaikenikäisille ympäri Teuvaa.

Euroopan kulttuuriympäristöpäivien teemana on tänä vuonna Vaalimisen arvoiset.

Aloitamme päivän Tainuskylän kunnostetulla korsulla tapahtuneiden jatkosodan aikaisten tapahtuminen esittelyllä, paikalla esittelijä. Kahvien jälkeen siirrytään Kyrön Seudun Luonnonsuojeluyhdistyksen johdattamana pitkospuita pitkin Särkisen autiotuvalle.

Matkalla ja tuvalla keskustellaan Levanevasta ja luontoarvoista. Perillä omat eväät, mahdollisuus esim. makkaran paistoon.

Jyväskylän kesäyliopiston Ikääntyvien yliopiston luennot välitetään etäkatsomoihin. Maksutonta luentoa voi seurata Kurikan kirjastoissa Jalasjärvellä, Jurvassa ja Kurikassa.

Keskiviikkona 9.12. klo 14-16 aiheena on ”Näkökulmia musiikin ja muiden taiteiden vaikutuksista hyvinvointiin”. Luennoitsijana MuT, PsM, psykoterapeutti, laulunopettaja Ava Numminen. Tilaisuudessa esiintyy myös Ikis-kuoro Yufei Liun johdolla.

Luennoille toivotaan etukäteisilmoittautumista (ilmoittautuneille voidaan lähettää tietoa mahd. muutoksista), mutta kirjastoihin voi saapua paikalle ilman ilmoittautumista.
