Julkistustilaisuus on osa kulttuuritapahtuma <a href=\"https://www.seinajoki.fi/tapahtumat/ilmioiden-yo/\">Ilmiöiden yötä.</a></p>\n<p></p>\n<h4><strong>Ohjelma</strong></h4>\n<p>Klo 17 alkaen</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avajaissanat: Elina Alkio, Seinäjoen kaupungin julkisen taiteen koordinaattori & kesäkuvataiteilija Henri Airo</li>\n<li>musiikkia, muusikko Ukko Vuorela</li>\n<li>kahvia ja pientä tarjoilua</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Tapahtumaan on vapaa pääsy, kesto noin 30 min.</p>\n<p>Seinäjoen kaupungin kesäkuvataiteilija Henri Airo toteuttamama taideprojekti tarkastelee Seinäjoen Keskustorille siirretyn Yrittäjä-Jussi-patsaan (Matti Peltokangas ja Aarne Hakala-Rahko, 1984) historiaa ja kaupunkilaisten siihen yhdistämiä merkityksiä. Kesäkuvataiteilija tutkii Yrittäjä-Jussin kautta, millaisia ihmiskuvia pidetään erityisen arvokkaina. Se kutsuu pohtimaan patsaiden, juhlistamisen ja muistamisen merkitystä nyt ja tulevaisuudessa.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Seinäjoen kaupunki on palkannut vuodesta 2017 lähtien ammattitaiteilijan tai kuvataiteen opiskelijan Kesäkuvataiteilijaksi. Kesäkuvataiteilija tekee taiteellista työtä, joka jollain tavalla näkyy kaupunkilaisille tai osallistaa heitä. Kesäkuvataiteilijan asemapaikka on Seinäjoen taidehalli.</p>\n",

"en": "<p>During the jubilee, Summer Artist <strong>Henri Airo</strong> will unveil the new temporarily identity of <strong>Entrepreneur Jussi</strong> statue, decided by the decisions of the light-hearted statue committee convened by the Summer Artist. The unveiling is part of the cultural event <strong>Night of Phenomena</strong>. The temporararily identity will be on display until 10.10.2024.</p>\n<h3>Programme</h3>\n<p>From 17:00<br></p>\n<p>Opening Speech: Elina Alkio, Public Art Coordinator of the City of Seinäjoki & the Summer Artist Henri Airo<br></p>\n<p>Music by musician Ukko Vuorela<br></p>\n<p>Coffee and light refreshments</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>The event is free of charge and lasts about 30 min.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>During the summer 2024, Henri Airo has carry out an art project that traces the history of the <strong>Yrittäjä-Jussi</strong> (Entrepreneur Jussi) statue (<strong>Matti Peltokangas</strong> and <strong>Aarne Hakala-Rahko</strong>, 1984) in Seinäjoki. It examines the different meanings that residents have attached to the statue at different times. The performative project consists of archival research, participatory workshops and a public event which will take place at the statue. The project draws attention to the iconic landmark on its 40th anniversary. Airo studies which human traits are worthy canonising. It invites people to reflect on the meanings of statues, celebration, and remembrance now and in the future.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Since 2017, the City of Seinäjoki has hired a professional artist or fine arts student as the Summer Artist. The Summer Artist makes artistic work that in some way is visible to or engages the citizens of the city. The Summer Artist is based at the Kunsthalle Seinäjoki.</p>\n"
