Sen kunniaksi klubilla nähdään kaupungin kesäkuvataiteilijoita, jotka havainnollistavat esityksissään työnsä jälkiä ja vaikutuksia: eläviä, kehollisia ja jaettuja hetkiä.</p>\n<p>Illan aikana nähdään neljä performanssia Seinäjoen kaupungin kesäkuvataiteilijoilta. Klubi luo elävän takauman, joka ei edusta pelkkää paluuta menneeseen, vaan myös luonnosta jostakin, joka on vasta tulossa.</p>\n<p>Performanssikesäklubi juhlii kesäkuvataiteilijoiden työn ydintä: kohtaamista, läsnäoloa ja hetkeä, joka syntyy ja koetaan yhdessä ainutlaatuisena ja ainutkertaisena. Yleisö saa osallistua veistosten tuhoamiseen juhlarituaalissa vapauttaen siemenet ympäristöön kaikkien iloksi.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>19.30 -19.50, 1. krs Kammio</p>\n<h4>Aeon Lux: <strong>Maria Rosa Mystica</strong></h4>\n<p>Kastenimeäni kantava esitys pohjautuu uniini. Se tutkii alitajuntaa, tabuja ja villiintymistä. Performanssityöskentelen hahmolähtöisesti ja luon visuaalisia kohtauksia. <strong>Esitys ei sovellu lapsille.</strong></p>\n<p></p>\n<p><h3>Performanssiklubilla esiintyvät taiteilijat</h3></p>\n<p><strong>Aeon Lux</strong> (s. 1993) oli Seinäjoen kesäkuvataiteilija vuonna 2019. Hän on seinäjokinen kuvataiteilija ja taiteilija-asiantuntija. Hän työskentelee keraamisen kuvanveiston, maalaamisen, piirtämisen ja performanssitaiteen parissa. Luxin taiteen tekemistä ohjaa halu tutkia todellisuutta. Metafyysiset ja esoteeriset kysymykset ovat hänen teoksiensa lähtökohtia. Aeon Lux on valmistunut kuvataiteilijaksi Kankaanpään taidekoulusta vuonna 2017.</p>\n<p><strong>Sofi Häkkinen</strong> (s. 1990) oli Seinäjoen kesäkuvataiteilija vuonna 2020. Hän keskittyy taiteellisessa työssään kuvanveistoon ja performanssiin. Hän on taiteellinen johtaja ja ohjaaja Recover Laboratory -monitaidekollektiivissa, joka kehittää suomalaista monitaidetta. Häkkinen on valmistunut kuvataiteen maisteriksi Kuvataideakatemian kuvanveiston maisteriohjelmassa vuonna 2026. Hän on valmistunut taiteen maisteriksi Aalto-yliopistosta (ViCCA, 2018) ja kuvataiteilijaksi TAMK:sta (kuvataiteilija AMK, 2016).</p>\n<p><strong>Miradonna Sirkka</strong> (1991) on nykysirkus- ja performanssitaiteilija, ohjaaja ja esiintyjä. Taideteokset ovat monialaisia sekoituksia esitystaiteesta, performanssista, installaatiosta, videosta, äänistä ja mediataiteesta. Inspiraatio nousee nautinnosta, ilosta, suurista tunteista ja huippusalaisimmista ajatuksista, ihmiskontaktista ja arkipäiväisestä kiusallisuudesta. Miradonna on valmistunut Turun AMK:sta sirkustaiteilijaksi sekä Aalto Yliopistosta Visual Culture and Curating Contemporary Art-linjalta taiteen maisteriksi. Miradonna on Recover Laboratory monitaidekollektiivin perustaja ja toinen taiteellinen johtaja. Miradonnan ja Recover Laboratoryn teoksia on nähty sekä kotimaassa että kansainvälisesti aina underground tapahtumista ja jättimäisille esiintymislavoille.</p>\n<p><strong>Aleksi Kinnunen</strong> on helsinkiläinen muusikko ja äänisuunnittelija, joka on ammattiuransa aikana työskennellyt hyvin laaja-alaisesti sekä musiikin että esittävän taiteen aloilla. Improvisaatio, spontaanius ja musiikillinen vuorovaikutus ovat usein keskiöissä hänen työssään ja musiikillisesti hän on erikoistunut etenkin elektronisen musiikin, popin sekä jazzin yhdistämiseen.Parhaillaan Aleksi soittaa ja tuottaa musiikkia useissa eri yhtyeissä (mm. Aki Himanen & Aleksi Kinnunen, Ramy Essam, Serot, Trash Drumming), mutta suurin panostus on kansainvälistymisessä, minkä seurauksena Aki Himanen & Aleksi Kinnunen keikkailee aktiivisesti ulkomailla. Duo on soittanut loppuunmyytyjä keikkoja mm. Berliinin maineikkaalla Kantine am Berghain -klubilla sekä useilla kansainvälisillä festivaaleilla, kuten JazzMi, Fano Jazz by the Sea sekä Jazz:Re:Found. Kansainvälistä keikkamyyntiämme hoitaa Milanossa ja Berliinissä vaikuttava Jazz-O-Tech. Musiikin tuotanto ja laaja kokemus esiintymisestä on johdattanut Aleksin myös esittävien taiteiden pariin, missä hän on päässyt työskentelemään äänisuunnittelijana, säveltäjänä, muusikkona ja jopa näyttelijänäkin. Aleksi on viime vuosina työskennellyt eri rooleissa mm. Helsingin Kaupunginteatterin, Q-Teatterin, Teatteri Takomon, Zodiakin, Cirkon, Recover Laboratoryn sekä Race Horse Companyn projekteissa.\"</p>\n<p><strong>Emmi Kairenius</strong> (s. 1993, Sammatti) on Rovaniemellä asuva kuvataiteilija, joka työskentelee arjen ympäristöissä ja julkisessa tilassa. Kairenius tarkastelee kaupunkiympäristöä ja sen käyttäjiä monin tavoin: seuraten ympäristön muutoksia, keräillen maasta löytyviä esineitä sekä leikkien ja temppuillen kaupungin elementtien kanssa. Teokset ovat julkisia tutkimusprosesseja, jotka taipuvat toisinaan videon, valokuvan tai installaation muotoon. Kairenius on valmistunut Lapin yliopistosta taiteen maisteriksi vuonna 2024, ja suorittaa tällä hetkellä taiteen tohtorin opintoja. Kairenius on osallistunut näyttelyihin, ja toiminut galleriakontekstin ohella aktiivisesti kaupunkiympäristöön sijoittuvan prosessiluonteisen taiteen parissa.</p>\n<p><strong>Gabriella Presnal</strong> (s. 2001) on suomalaisamerikkalainen taiteilija, joka on aiemmin asunut Ruotsissa, Kanadassa, Tanskassa ja Yhdysvalloissa. Presnalin inspiraationa ovat tilallisuutta, julkisuutta ja kulttuurimuistia käsittelevät filosofiat. Oman taustansa lisäksi hänen töihinsä on vaikuttanut ratkaisevasti ranskalaisten filosofien Gilles Deleuzen ja Félix Guattarin teoriat nomadisesta taiteesta. Presnal soveltaa tilojen ominaispiirteitä mm. tekstiilitaiteen menetelmiin. Presnal on äskettäin valmistunut Taiteen maisteriksi pohjoismaisten visuaalisten opintojen ja taidekasvatuksen kaksoistutkinto-ohjelmasta Aalto-yliopistosta ja Aalborgin yliopistosta Tanskasta.</p>\n<p><h3>Mitä odotettavissa</h3></p>\n<p>Taidehallin performanssiklubit ovat kaikille avoimia, maksuttomia ja kaikenikäisille sopivia tapahtumia. Kuitenkin tänä vuonna Aeon Luxin performanssi Kammio-tilassa on poikkeuksellisesti K-18 ikärajoitus. Luxin performanssi kestää 20 min ja on illan viimeinen esitys. Voit kuitenkin alaikäisenä tulla katsomaan kaikki muut esitykset muissa tiloissa.Voit tulla paikalle matalalla kynnyksellä eli et tarvitse ennakkotietoa performanssitaiteesta. Illan aikana nähdään neljä esitystä. Sofi Häkkinen esiintyy näyttelytila Vintillä, 3 krs. Aeon Lux esiintyy Kammio-tilassa 1krs. Emmi Kairenius esiintyy yleisissä tiloissa Kalevan Navetassa. Gabriella Presnal Itikka-tilassa sekä mahdollisesti ulkona. Klubilla on mukana Taidehallin henkilökuntaa, jotka pitävät huolen, että kaikilla on tieto, missä huoneessa seuraava esitys alkaa. Seinäjoen taidehallin näyttelyihin on vapaa pääsy koko päivän.</p>\n<p>Klubilla ei tarvitse itse osallistua, joissain performansseissa taiteilija voi pyytää osallistumaan, mutta se on täysin sinusta kiinni haluatko näin tehdä.</p>\n<p><h3>Saapuminen Kalevan Navettaan</h3></p>\n<p>Osoite: Nyykoolinkatu 25, 60100 Seinäjoki. Rakennuksen pääovi sijaitsee Kalevan Navetan ja Itikanmäen asuintalojen välisen sisäpihan puolella. Kävellen ja pyörällä pääset Kalevan Navetalle Vaasantien kautta tai Pohjan valtatien ylittävää Lakeuden aamunkoi -siltaa pitkin.</p>\n<p>Kalevan Navetan ympärillä on noin 50 autopaikkaa asiakkaille. Ensimmäiset kaksi (2) tuntia on ilmaista automaatista saatavalla lipukkeella tai parkkisovelluksella, ja seuraavat tunnit maksavat 1 €/h. Lähin yleinen pysäköintialue sijaitsee Maakunnankadulla noin 700 metrin päässä rakennuksesta. Vilkkaina tapahtumapäivinä suosittelemme käyttämään henkilöauton sijasta muita saapumisvaihtoehtoja tai pysäköimään auton tarvittaessa Maakunnankadun parkkialueelle.</p>\n",

To mark the occasion, the club will feature the city’s summer artists, who will illustrate the traces and impacts of their work through their performances: living, physical, and shared moments.</p>\n<p>The evening will feature four performances by Seinäjoki’s summer artists. The club creates a flashback that represents not only a return to the past, but also a glimpse of something yet to come.</p>\n<p>The Performance Summer Club celebrates the essence of the summer artists’ work: encounter, presence, and the moment that is created and experienced together as unique and unrepeatable.</p>\n<p>Come spend a relaxed Friday evening enjoying performance art—no prior experience necessary. It explores the subconscious, taboos, and wildness. My performance work is character-driven, and I create visual scenes. The performance is not suitable for children.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p></p>\n<p></p>\n<p><h3>Artists performing at the Performance Club</h3></p>\n<p><a href=\"https://www.instagram.com/aeonluxus/\"><strong>Aeon Lux</strong></a> (b. 1993) was the Summer Artist in 2019. She is a Seinäjoki-based visual artist. She works with ceramic sculpture, painting, drawing and performance art. Lux’s art is driven by her desire to explore reality. Metaphysical and esoteric questions are often the starting points of her work. Aeon Lux graduated as a visual artist from Kankaanpää Art School in 2017.</p>\n<p><a href=\"https://sofihakkinen.com/\"><strong>Sofi Häkkinen</strong></a> (b. 1990) was the Summer Artist in 2020. They focuses on sculpture and performance in their artistic work. They are the artistic director of Recover Laboratory, a multi-art collective. Häkkinen holds the Master of Fine Art degree in the sculpture programme at The University of Arts Helsinki and a Master of Arts degree from Aalto University (ViCCA, 2018) and a Bachelor of Art from Tampere University of Applied Sciences, 2016.</p>\n<p><a href=\"https://miradonnasirkka.com/\"><strong>Miradonna Sirkka</strong></a> (1991) is a contemporary circus and performance artist, director and performer based in Helsinki, Finland. Works of art are multidisciplinary blends of performance art, installation, video, sound and media art. Inspiration arises from pleasure, joy, emotions that are too big to handle, disgusting and top secret thoughts, human contact and everyday awkwardness. Every detail is thought through too many times and then dipped into a sugar bowl and digged out gruesomely realistic. Plasticity, pine forest, femmeness and grittiness all feature in the works. Miradonna graduated as a circus artist from Turku University of Applied Sciences and as a Master of Arts from Aalto University in Visual Culture and Curating Contemporary Art.</p>\n<p><strong>Aleksi Kinnunen</strong> is a Helsinki-based musician and sound designer who, throughout his professional career, has worked in a wide variety of fields within both music and the performing arts. Improvisation, spontaneity, and musical interaction are often central to his work, and musically he specializes in combining electronic music, pop, and jazz. Currently, Aleksi plays and produces music in several different bands (including Aki Himanen & Aleksi Kinnunen, Ramy Essam, Serot, and Trash Drumming), but his main focus is on expanding internationally, which has led Aki Himanen & Aleksi Kinnunen to tour actively abroad. The duo has played sold-out shows at venues such as Berlin’s renowned Kantine am Berghain club, as well as at numerous international festivals, including JazzMi, Fano Jazz by the Sea, and Jazz:Re:Found. International booking is handled by Jazz-O-Tech, based in Milan and Berlin. Music production and extensive experience in performing have also led Aleksi into the performing arts, where he has worked as a sound designer, composer, musician, and even an actor. In recent years, Aleksi has worked in various roles on projects for, among others, the Helsinki City Theater, Q-Teatteri, Teatteri Takomo, Zodiak, Cirko, Recover Laboratory, and Race Horse Company.”</p>\n<p><strong>Emmi Kairenius</strong> (b. 1993, Sammatti) was the Summer Artist in 2025. Kairenius is a visual artist based in Rovaniemi, Finland. Through her artistic practice, Kairenius explores the daily urban environment and public space. Her work is characterized by embodied and repetitive engagement with the surroundings—through observation of change, collecting found objects, and playfully interacting with elements of the city. Her works are public performative processes that at times take the form of video, photography, or installation. Kairenius earned her Master of Arts degree from the University of Lapland in 2024 and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in art. She has participated in exhibitions and, alongside working in gallery contexts, has been actively engaged in process-based art situated in urban environments.</p>\n<p><a href=\"https://www.gabriellapresnal.com/\"><strong>Gabriella Presnal</strong></a> (b.2001, they/them) is the Summer Artist in 2026. Presnal is a Finnish American artist having previously lived in Sweden, Canada, Denmark, and the U.S. Conceptually, they draw upon philosophies surrounding spatiality, publicness, and cultural memory. Alongside their own cultural background, an integral influence to their work has been Gilles Deleuze’s and Félix Guattari’s theories of nomad art wherein they apply the characteristics of spaces to textile methods. For Presnal, multidisciplinary textiles then become a model for subverting, warping, and molding spaces. Many times, their works integrate community-centric and participatory approaches, having previously created projects surrounding precarity, post-anthropocentrism, utopias, queer international youth, and more. Ongoing and upcoming works (summer 2026) from Presnal are currently with Amos Rex (Generation 2026), ArtOulu2026 (performance programming), a solo exhibition in MUU ry’s Ikkuna / Window Gallery (Helsinki), and the Rihmasto / Rhizome group exhibition at Haihatus (Joutsa). They have a history of exhibiting primarily in Finland as well as group exhibitions and festivals abroad, for example, in Brazil, Australia, Korea, Italy, Slovenia, and more. They have recently graduated from a dual master’s degree program in Nordic Visual Studies and Art Education from Aalto University and Aalborg University.</p>\n<p><h3>What to Expect</h3></p>\n<p>Kunsthalle’s performance clubs are open to everyone, free of charge, and suitable for all ages. You can drop by without any prior knowledge of performance art. This year, Aeon Lux’s performance in the Kammio space is, exceptionally, rated 18+. The performance lasts 20 minutes and is the last show of the evening. However, as a minor, you are welcome to attend all other performances in the other spaces.</p>\n<p>Four performances will take place during the evening. Sofi Häkkinen will perform in the Vintti exhibition space on the 3rd floor. Aeon Lux will perform in the Kammio space on the 1st floor. Emmi Kairenius will perform around Kalevan Navetta. Gabriella Presnal will perform in the Itikka space and outdoors. Staff from the Kunsthalle will ensure everyone knows which room the next performance will take place in. You’re also welcome to come see just one or two performances. Admission to the exhibitions at Kunsthalle Seinäjoki is free all day.</p>\n<p><h3>Arriving at Kalevan Navetta</h3></p>\n<p>Address: Nyykoolinkatu 25, 60100 Seinäjoki. The main entrance to the building is located on the side of the courtyard between Kalevan Navetta and the Itikanmäki residential buildings. You can reach Kalevan Navetta on foot or by bike via Vaasantie or across the Lakeuden aamunkoi Bridge, which crosses Pohjan valtatie.</p>\n<p>There are approximately 50 parking spaces for customers around Kalevan Navetta. The first two (2) hours are free with a ticket from the parking meter or via a parking app, and subsequent hours cost 1 €/h. The nearest public parking lot is located on Maakunnankatu, about 700 meters from the building. On busy event days, we recommend using other modes of transportation instead of a car or, if necessary, parking your car in the Maakunnankatu parking lot</p>\n"
